It relies on breath-holding techniques that allow you to calmly descend, navigate and resurface using one held breath. The goal is to facilitate ocean access and enhance the skills of African storytellers and scientists based in Cape Town, South Africa with a passion for ocean conservation and storytelling. Today we celebrate World Teacher's Day under this year’s theme: "The Transformation of Education Begins With Teachers."

We are celebrating all our amazing teachers, we honour and thank them for their efforts and contributions to society as well as the positive change they are making in every individual learner’s life.

In 2023 the Western Cape Education Department (WCED) has committed to spending R321 Million to permanently appoint 500 qualified Grade R teachers. A total of 1 143 teachers will also be hired in 2023 a much-needed boost to our system. This is a step in the right direction to ensure that we get children reading for meaning in the Foundation Phase.

As Nelson Mandela Said: “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”
