Lotus High School

For the 3rd year in a row we welcomed the Rondebosch Boys' High School boys who come and did their community service at Lotus High School. The boys worked hard for two days helping with tutoring of our students, laying tarmac, and creating vegetable gardens. They also did a stationary drive before hand supplying both staff and learners with much needed stationary. This is what community team work looks like.

Music is more than entertainment — it is expression, connection, discipline, confidence, and joy.

Music gives learners a voice, a sense of belonging, and a way to discover their talents.

Unfortunately, our music room is currently under-equipped and lacking many of the resources needed to properly support our learners. We have passionate students eager to learn and create, but limited instruments and equipment to help nurture their potential.

We are appealing to our community for support. Donations of instruments, microphones, speakers, keyboards, drums, guitar strings, sheet music, headphones, recording equipment, storage units, or any music-related resources would make a huge impact.

A single instrument can inspire a lifetime of creativity and opportunity.

In addition to the Research Lab we have a new CAT Lab where every learner now has their own computer station. 💻

Thanks to a donation from Reigate School in the UK, our CAT lab has been completely transformed — new computers, new desks, new floors, new paint.

From shared and broken screens to every learner having their own seat at the table.

We are incredibly proud to share we have a RESEARCH LAB, just one step closer to helping our learners gain the knowledge they need to succeed in life.
