The LAN will be taking place on Saturday the 11th of October and not the 5th as previously stated. This means that it will not take place next Saturday but the following one. We have acquired prizes for the Xbox competition but are still looking for prizes for the PC competition. Tickets will be priced at R70 and will go on sale tomorrow for RBHS and Tuesday for Westerford and Islamia.

We would like to apologize for the huge lack of updates for the upcoming LAN. At present we are struggling to find a sponsor for the competition prizes. This delays the ticket printing as we generally use the tickets as promotion for our sponsors. Tickets will officially go on sale next week Monday, and the LAN will take place next week Saturday (the first Saturday of the holidays). Please be ready to buy tickets next week if you would like to attend as we will only have one week to sell. This LAN will be just as awesome as our previous ones, and once again, internet will be provided. If you have any questions please post them as comments on this post.

We are proud to announce that planning for the Term 3 LAN is officially under way. We apologize for not hosting a Term 2 LAN, it was not hosted as a result of exams being so close to the end of the term. Once again we thank our two sponsors: Games On and Cybersmart for their great support and everyone who attended in the first term. We have some great ideas for the next LAN that are being worked on. These include restructuring the competitions to include more than one genre of games as well as a new sponsor with even better prizes. We're looking at the 27th of September as a possible date however this has not been confirmed. Expect new info to follow.

We are proud to announce that our official sponsor for the 5th gamer day will be Games On. For those of you who don’t know, Games On is a gaming lounge located at the Riverside Mall in Rondebosch. They have a fantastic setup complete with stations for the Xbox 360, each with its own reclining couch. They also boast 2 PC stations capable of hosting 5 PCs each. Unique to Games On however are the 2 Xbox Ones available to play on.

You can check out the lounge over here: http://gameson.co.za/page13/photos-4/index.html

Games On has agreed to sponsor us 2 NAG magazines for every person attending the LAN. Each person from the winning two teams (console and PC) will receive a Games On voucher. We think this is an awesome sponsorship as everyone at the LAN walks away with something, and the winners get something extra. Thanks Games On!
We plan to start selling tickets on Wednesday (12 March) so be prepared to start buying!
