The LAN will be taking place on Saturday the 11th of October and not the 5th as previously stated. This means that it will not take place next Saturday but the following one. We have acquired prizes for the Xbox competition but are still looking for prizes for the PC competition. Tickets will be priced at R70 and will go on sale tomorrow for RBHS and Tuesday for Westerford and Islamia.

We would like to apologize for the huge lack of updates for the upcoming LAN. At present we are struggling to find a sponsor for the competition prizes. This delays the ticket printing as we generally use the tickets as promotion for our sponsors. Tickets will officially go on sale next week Monday, and the LAN will take place next week Saturday (the first Saturday of the holidays). Please be ready to buy tickets next week if you would like to attend as we will only have one week to sell. This LAN will be just as awesome as our previous ones, and once again, internet will be provided. If you have any questions please post them as comments on this post.

We are proud to announce that planning for the Term 3 LAN is officially under way. We apologize for not hosting a Term 2 LAN, it was not hosted as a result of exams being so close to the end of the term. Once again we thank our two sponsors: Games On and Cybersmart for their great support and everyone who attended in the first term. We have some great ideas for the next LAN that are being worked on. These include restructuring the competitions to include more than one genre of games as well as a new sponsor with even better prizes. We're looking at the 27th of September as a possible date however this has not been confirmed. Expect new info to follow.

We've met with Games On, our competition sponsor, and we can safely say coming to the LAN is definitely worth it! Everyone will receive NAG magazines, but only the best will receive those vouchers...

Tickets are about to be printed and will go on sale tomorrow for RBHS and Westerford! Tickets will be on sale for Islamia on Wednesday.

With 3 months between this post and the last, it's about time to announce that the AI Gamer Day 5 will officially be happening! The LAN is set to take place on Saturday the 22nd of March, the Saturday before the last week of school. The venue will remain the same as the previous one, with a maximum capacity of 50 people. We will continue to provide an internet line at the event, courtesy of Cybersmart. We are also excited to announce that we are selling tickets to UCT students, opening our event to a large amount of new participants. The AI team would like to thank everyone who supported us through our first year of LANing, it would never have happened without you guys and we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did! With the next generation of consoles here you can look forward to a year full of even greater gaming experiences!

Reminder to all that tickets go on sale tomorrow!!! You can get them from Younos(Westerford), Muaath(Islamia), Zayd(RBHS) and introducing Raa-id Ismail for SACS High School. They are still priced at R70 each, and there are 46 tickets available in total. Get yours ASAP to avoid disappointment!!!

We have confirmed the date of the LAN. GD4 will take place on Sunday the 8th of December, during the school holidays. Tickets will be printed this weekend and will officially go on sale next week Monday. They will cost R70 each, no extra cost for the ADSL line. Be ready to buy yours!

Planning for our final event of the year has currently been under way and we have some news regarding progress. We are introducing an internet/ADSL line to our LAN, kindly sponsored by Cybersmart (www.cybersmart.co.za), visit their site for the best internet deals, both value and price wise. On the topic of tickets, we are in the process of securing a date for the event. We are set for the 5th of December(thursday after school ends) however we are pushing to get the 7th as we'd all prefer to have it on the weekend. Once we finalize the date we'll go to print and begin selling tickets ASAP. We are sticking to our 50 seat capacity. Tickets will be priced at the usual R70, with no extra cost for internet access.
