What goes up… must come down! 🟢

A simple Montessori activity becomes an opportunity for discovery as our Nursery children explore movement, coordination, cause and effect and concentration through the ball and ramp work.

Little hands. Curious minds. Big learning. ✨

Today we celebrate the woman who changed the way we see childhood. ❤️

Maria Montessori was born on 31 August 1870 in Italy, and her vision continues to shape the way we nurture, guide and educate young children every day.

From little hands exploring their environment to growing independence, curiosity and confidence, we are proud to carry her legacy forward. 🌿

And what better way to celebrate an Italian birthday than with a little baking, creativity and biscuits! 🇮🇹🍪

Happy Birthday, Maria Montessori! 🎂

Parents, we'd love your help! If you'd like to contribute, please consider donating muffins, baked treats or other goodies for everyone to enjoy. Every little contribution helps make our morning special. 💛

And yes… you can even buy a treat for your child to enjoy before heading off to class! 😉

Whether you're dropping off at The Children's Workshop or Montessori Connect Primary, come grab a cuppa, enjoy something delicious and take a moment to connect with our school community.

See you next Friday! ☕️🧁💛

🎨 Daily Art in the Montessori 0–3 Environment

In Montessori, art is about much more than creating a finished product. It is an opportunity for children to explore, experiment, and express themselves independently.

By offering carefully prepared art activities on accessible shelves, children are free to choose work that interests them and engage with materials at their own pace. Through experiences such as painting, drawing, stamping, and clay work, they develop fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, concentration, and creativity.

Most importantly, the process belongs to the child. There are no templates to copy or expectations to meet, just the freedom to explore and create.

At The Children's Workshop, we celebrate each child's unique journey of discovery, one artistic experience at a time. 🌱✨

This Women's Day, we celebrate the women who nurture, guide, comfort and inspire our children every day. Through the eyes of a child, these are the women who help them grow.

✨ In July, our Children’s Workshop family came together in honour of Mandela Day, collecting 67+ clothing and toy items for children up to age 6. Partnering with SAPS, these donations will support a shelter, reminding us that even the smallest hands can bring comfort and hope. Thank you to every parent, child, and staff member who contributed to this spirit of giving! 💛
