Curious Kriek

🌱 What if learning about the world around you could be this much fun?

At Curious Kriek, children get to Explore, Discover and Grow through hands-on experiences with nature. 🔎🌱🐞

We believe children learn differently when they can see it, touch it, investigate it and experience it for themselves.

From getting their hands into the soil to stopping to investigate something tiny, every session is an opportunity to ask questions, make discoveries and build a deeper connection with the natural world. 💚

And the best part?
They don't even realise how much they're learning. 😉

Curious Kriek is a nature-based educational programme for children aged 2–14, designed to make environmental learning exciting, practical and memorable.

✨ Where curiosity meets discovery.🍃

Explore. Discover. Grow.

🌱🔎 Welcome to Curious Kriek!

Where curiosity meets discovery.

Hi, I'm Karike, the founder of Curious Kriek.
I'm a qualified Foundation Phase teacher with qualifications in Early Childhood Development. I'm passionate about children, growing food, gardening, nature and creating opportunities for children to learn through real, hands-on experiences.

I created Curious Kriek because I believe children shouldn't only learn about the natural world — they should have the opportunity to explore it for themselves.

🌱 We plant.
🔎 We investigate.
🐛 We discover.
🌿 We grow.
♻️ We learn how to care for the world around us.

Through Curious Kriek, children explore plants, seeds, food gardening, insects, soil, composting, recycling, nature and so much more — always with opportunities to look, touch, investigate, ask questions and learn by doing.

👧🧒 Curious Kriek is for children from age 2 onwards.

I offer:
🏫 Weekly school lessons
🌱 Themed school visits
🔎 Children's workshops
🏡 Homeschool experiences
🎉 Educational activities for events

Every activity is adapted to the children's age and learning environment.

For me, Curious Kriek is about more than teaching children facts.
It's about creating curious children who want to look closer, ask questions and discover how the world around them works.
Because sometimes the best learning starts with a simple:
“I wonder…” 🤔🌱
