Hope everyone is well inshaAllah. Our i'tikaf programme is at Mowbray masjid this year during the last 10 days of Ramadan.
The theme of this I'tikaf is Reviving the Forgotten Jewels of Islam. The programme will be designed around the 24 hour schedule of the Prophet SallAllahu 'alayhi wa sallam.
His duahs, recitation of surahs, salaahs and adhkar etc...
Many groups in Cape Town are focused on good innovations. This programme is dedicated to the sunnah إن شاء الله. Join myself, Moulana Irshaad, and Moulana Saalim in the following programmes open to all brothers and sisters:
*Fajr Jama'ah* -
📔Sunnah Surahs, duahs and adhkar of the morning and perhaps a short lesson until Ishraq.
📿After Ishraq we will pray salah al-duha.
😴Rest/sleep/personal ibadah
*Dhur Jama'ah -*
🕌Recitation of Quran individually in a structured programme. ⏱Each person to recite for 1 - 2 hours and perhaps to some of the Hufadh and Ulama present for 20 minutes each.
😴Qaylula/Siesta (This is part of the Sunnah)
*'Asr Jama'ah* -
📿Sunnah adhkar time. Dhikr, istighfar and salawat as found in hadith.
📗Then... Reading about the Sunnah/Seerah/Shamaail till 20 minutes before adhan.
🙏🏽20 minutes before adhan - collective and individual duah time.
All those attending will receive a little instruction pamphlet with the programme and notes on all the ibadat in the programme. Lessons will also be conducted on these إن شاء الله.
*Maghrib Jama'ah-*
🍱🥘Collective Iftaar catered for. After Maghrib Salah, the brothers will perform 6 raka'ats Salah al-Awaabeen individually.
🕋 *Prep for 'Isha and tarawih.*
⏱ 10- 15 minute talk after tarawih for all Musallees.
⏱ 15- 30 minute break.
📔 collective recitation of Surahs Yasin, Mulk, Sajdah (and Kahf on Thursday nights).
🎤 45 minutes to 1 hour lecture (part of a series of 10) followed by Question and Answer session by the scholars present.
🌜23:00 - Lessons on Sunnah Living
Followed by 😴😴😴
🕌 *3:30 am - Tahajjud.*
There will be a jama'ah as well as the option to perform it individually (the actual Sunnah)
