We were so excited to welcome our furry friends from Therapy Dogs South Africa | TOP Dogs back to Inspiring Horizons! 🐕

Our learners always enjoy these special visits, spending time with the dogs, giving them cuddles, brushing them and simply enjoying their calming presence.

These visits are about so much more than fun. They create opportunities for connection, sensory experiences, confidence building and lots of beautiful smiles.

Thank you, TOP Dogs, for once again bringing so much joy to our learners! We’re already looking forward to your next visit. 🐾

Spreading a little Christmas Magic! 🎄

At Inspiring Horizons, we’re excited to spread some festive joy again this year!

This year, we’re taking on two special Christmas projects to bring extra joy to autistic individuals in our community.

🎅 SANTA SACKS – 8 INDIVIDUALS

We’ll be creating 8 Santa Sacks for autistic individuals supported through Nixbeautylife.

Each Santa Sack will include:

-A sensory item
- An educational supply
-A toothbrush and toothpaste
-Soap and a washcloth
- A sweet treat

SENSORY PACKS – 18 INDIVIDUALS

We’ll also be creating 18 sensory packs for another group of autistic individuals. These packs will include sensory-friendly and engaging items to encourage exploration, regulation and enjoyment.

How Can You Help?

You can help by donating or sponsor one or more items, or contribute towards a complete Santa Sack or sensory pack.

Every donation, no matter how big or small, can help us create more joy and Christmas magic for these individuals. ❤️

All items need to be received by 27 November 2026.

Yesterday was an exciting day at Inspiring Horizons!

We were incredibly grateful to have received a generous donation from AKQ Global towards our centre.

This donation will help us purchase much-needed stations, learning resources and equipment to support our learners and their individual needs. Every contribution helps us continue creating a space where our learners can learn, grow, explore and thrive.

But the excitement didn’t stop there! Our learners were also treated to Happy Meals, which brought lots of smiles and happy faces to our day!❤️

A huge thank you to AKQ Global and Mario for your kindness, generosity and for supporting our Horizons family. Your contribution means so much to us and will make a meaningful difference. 💙

Thank you for helping us create brighter tomorrows! ✨

On Monday, we had the honour of welcoming some very special grandparents to Inspiring Horizons as we celebrated Grandparents Day! 🌸

We enjoyed some cake and tea, shared some special moments and of course had a little fun too!

For those grandparents who couldn’t be with us, we still made sure to celebrate and remember them. ❤️ Whether they were simply unable to make it or are no longer with us, they remain an important part of our learners’ stories and families.

And then there were our very own little grandparents! Our learners had fun dressing up complete with hard hats, walking sticks and plenty of personality!

A special day celebrating grandparents in all the different ways they are part of our lives. 💕🌷

Happy Grandparents Day from all of us at Inspiring Horizons!

Getting back into the “spin” of things!

After a 3-week break, our learners were back at the spinning wheel!

For now, we’re focusing on getting those feet pedalling again, finding our rhythm and getting comfortable with the wheel. 🧶

We’ll get to the wool-spinning part soon one pedal at a time! 💙

It’s always lovely to see our learners building coordination, confidence and independence through hands-on activities.
