Growing Bacteria. Swabs were taken from various spots around the school. We used the Experilab Bacteria Growing Kit II. Results will be checked in a few days.

At the start of the term, some of our brave Grade 10 learners competed in the NRF SAASTA National Science Olympiad for Life and Physical Sciences while our Grade 8 and 9's participated the Natural Science Olympiad. Well done to all of you!

Decomposition of Hydrogen Peroxide. (Elephant toothpaste)The learners enjoyed the activity so much - but definitely one we have to revisit. We also used the PASCO temperature sensors to measure the temperature of our substances before and during the reaction to indicate that it is a exothermic reaction.🧪🥵⚗️ ( Unfortunately we were so invested in the activity that we forgot to take photos. So here are a few after pics. 🤓
