Matric Dance Magic!

What a night to remember!

It was truly heartwarming to see our learners all dressed up and glowing with pride at this year’s Matric Dance, held at the stunning Eengezind Function Venue in Durbanville.

From the laughter to the elegance - watching our students step into their next chapter was a moment of pure joy.

A huge thank you to all the dedicated staff and parents who poured their hearts into making this event unforgettable for our learners. And to our amazing service providers: MCM Photography , Sharon's Fun Parties & Events , Springbok Atlas Charter , and many more - your support helped bring the night to life.

Here’s to memories made, dreams ignited, and futures shining bright!

From Sunridge Circle High to the Studio – Meet Sibulelo!

Talent has no limits when it’s driven by passion, mindset, and hunger.

One of our very own, Sibulelo, is proving just that. As the youngest artist in the Kunye Collab and represented by the prestigious ArtatAfrica Gallery, he’s not just painting - he’s building a future with every brushstroke.

With every artwork sold, Sibu is investing back into his journey. No shortcuts, just pure commitment and vision.

We are incredibly proud of you, Sibu. You're showing us all that greatness isn’t about where you start - it’s about where you’re determined to go.

“If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.” – African Proverb

The week isn’t even over yet, but it’s already been filled with incredible moments that remind us why we do what we do.

On Saturday, 26 July, our boys had the amazing opportunity to join Parklands College for a rugby fixture at Paul Roos in Stellenbosch. We are deeply grateful to Parklands for including us. It was a day filled with grit, passion and pride. Watching our boys give it their all on the field was inspiring, and I have no doubt that the memories made will fuel their desire to push harder and aim higher.

On Tuesday, 29 July, our U19 girls played a spirited soccer match against CBC St John’s. The very next day, Wednesday 30 July, our U19 boys took to the field against the same opponents. Both teams gave solid performances and represented our school with pride.

Also on Wednesday, three of our Grade 9 girls competed with the Girls in Robotics at the First Tech Challenge. It was a bold step into the world of innovation and technology.

It is often said that the only person you need to be better than is who you were yesterday. This week, our learners embodied that mindset. They stepped out of their comfort zones and into spaces where the possibilities are endless. Their excitement, courage and curiosity were truly inspiring.

To our learners. Thank you for showing up. Thank you for saying “yes” to new experiences. Thank you for reminding us that growth lies just beyond our comfort zones.

We are proud of you!

"Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world." – Nelson Mandela

In the spirit of Mandela Month, it was only fitting that on 23 July 2025, Sunridge Circle High School hosted our first Academic Assembly of the year. We felt it was important to include it in our school calendar, not only to recognise the outstanding academic achievements of our learners, but also to motivate and inspire them to keep striving forward.

Too often, the narrative around schools focuses on challenges rather than triumphs.

But yesterday, we paused to honour what truly matters: the small wins, the steady progress, and the unwavering resilience our learners demonstrate daily. As educators, we are reminded that transformation often happens quietly. The magic happens in the focused scribble of a notebook, the courage to ask a question, or the determination to try again.

Yesterday reminded us of something powerful: our learners are capable of greatness. They show up, they put in the work, and they rise, showcasing their resilience. Their achievements remind us that life is what you make it, and at Sunridge, our learners are choosing excellence, growth, and purpose.

We were truly honoured to welcome Mrs Sylvia Steyn, Principal of Parklands College as our special guest. Her presence brought warmth, encouragement, and a genuine spirit of collaboration in education.

As the principal of this young and growing school, I can honestly say that days like yesterday make every late night, every challenge, and every effort worth it. Seeing our learners beam with pride reminded us why we do what we do, and why we must continue to celebrate excellence in all its forms.

To our learners: We see you. We are proud of you. We believe in you. Keep striving, keep growing—your journey has only just begun.
