Square Hill EarlyAct

Thank you Rotary Club of Wynberg!

After a few intro meetings we finally started our first project of 2020! Toys for the doggos at ! This is our biggest club we’ve had in the last 5 years and we are so excited to complete lots of projects and team builders this year. If you would like to colab with us or visit one of our meetings with ideas/concepts/projects then please let us know. We are in need of some project ideas too ;) @ Square Hill Primary School

Today we were invited to Steenberg High School by their Interact club. They really spoilt us! We were split up into three teams where we were put in charge of the Interactors! This was daunting but our teachers say we handled it well.

We made eco bricks, discussed their value, came up with war cries, ate hot dogs, drank juice and just enjoyed some good Rotary Family Fellowship.

Thanks for having us Steenberg High School Interact, we’ll definitely be collaborating again soon.

(Note from our teachers- It warmed our hearts to see that our EarlyActors from previous years are thriving in Interact clubs!)

When you get a letter like this from one of your EarlyActors, you just can’t help your heart! I think especially because our club has become a sort of refuge for those who feel they don’t fit anywhere else. We love our kiddos right ?

A few weeks ago at our meeting our teachers put us into two teams and we had a general knowledge quiz. It was a close call but in the end team “Power-Up” came out victorious over team “Unicorns”. After the quiz one of our members treated us to s’mores-yum!

Meeting Wednesday’s - this week we paired up to do a community service word search and had a few rounds of scattegories - we’re really enjoying working together with our peers

We really enjoyed making these appreciation notes for all the Square Hill Women! Happy Women’s Day (tomorrow) to all the inspiring, special, strong, dedicated women at our school.
