Key points include accelerating mineral beneficiation for industrialization, enhancing localization through SME participation, and leveraging critical minerals for global energy transitions.

Mineral Beneficiation: The strategy aims to move beyond exporting raw, unrefined ore. It focuses on using critical minerals (PGMs, copper, nickel, lithium) to drive local industrialization, digital transformation, and the green economy.
Localisation & SMEs: There is a strong push for preferential procurement for small, medium, and micro-enterprises (SMMEs) to increase their participation in the mining value chain.
Industrialization & Growth: The strategy emphasizes establishing Special Economic Zones (SEZs) and logistical hubs to support processing, manufacturing, and local economic growth.
Policy & Partnership: The strategy highlights the importance of policy stability, public-private partnerships, and, community inclusion to ensure that mining, benefits local communities.
