Drawing and painting is a skill like learning how to play an instrument or learning a new language. You don’t have to know French before attending a beginner’s lesson in French. Likewise, you don’t have to be able to draw to join a drawing class.
Atelier training techniques are specifically designed to teach anyone that is interested in learning how to draw and paint. All you need is a desire to start learning or to resume practice after a hiatus or to grow in your current art practice.

This workshop is designed for deep learning and your will learn and practice 3 drawing approaches that you can apply in your work:
- Sight size
- How to use a grid
- Comparative measurements
You do not need to guess or experiment your way through an artwork; you can be empowered with the skills you need to really grow in your art practice.

Our Teens are well on their way this term with their drawing classes. The theme was: "I have my eye on you"

We did a variety of drawing exercises to develop our observational skills and also training our hands to the various degrees of sensitivity one needs when you approach a drawing. Learning how to see and how to translate.

I am excited to see how they develop.

These classes are designed to guide you from getting all the right materials ready, to picking a high quality reference image, to setting up your workstation and then how to start your painting.

These classes are based on classical atelier training techniques to set you up for success in your work.

To join the class, students are required to attend one Saturday drawing workshop to cover some of the basic drawing techniques that also applies in painting!
