💪🌊 Staying fit onboard a superyacht is a priority for us, not just for performance but for our mental and physical well-being. 🧠💙 While there are crew gyms available to help us stay on track, the best “gym” is actually the sundeck with an amazing view of the open ocean. 😎💥

Whether it's yoga with the sunrise, a quick run on the treadmill with the sea breeze in our hair, or a full workout session overlooking the endless horizon, keeping active onboard is a huge part of our daily routine. 🏋️‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Staying in shape is essential — it keeps us energised, focused, and ready to take on the demands of yacht life. It's about finding balance and making sure we're not just physically prepared for our jobs, but mentally sharp too. 🌟🌴

Radio etiquette onboard a superyacht is essential for smooth communication and safety. 🚢📡 Here are a few key points to keep in mind:

✔️ Clear and Concise: When using the radio, keep your messages short and to the point. Avoid unnecessary chatter to maintain clarity. Speak clearly and calmly, especially in busy or emergency situations. 🗣️

✔️ Use Proper Call Signs: Address the right person or department with their correct call sign. It helps avoid confusion and ensures messages go to the right crew members. Always identify yourself first before speaking. 🎙️

✔️ Listen Before You Speak: Always check if the frequency is clear before transmitting. Interrupting or speaking over others can cause confusion, especially when communication is vital. 👂🔊

✔️ Speak Slowly: In critical situations, speaking too quickly can cause misunderstanding. Speaking slowly and clearly helps avoid mistakes. ⏳

✔️ Use “Over” and “Out” Correctly: “Over” signals you're done speaking and expect a reply. “Out” means you're finished and don't expect any further communication. ✅

✔️ Be Aware of Your Surroundings: When communicating, make sure you're not disturbing guests or creating noise that could disrupt the yacht's environment. 🎧🔕

✔️ Respect Privacy: Keep personal and crew conversations off the radio to avoid security breaches. Confidential information should never be transmitted over an open frequency. 🚫

Radio etiquette helps keep everything running smoothly, especially on a superyacht where every second counts. Whether it's coordinating with the bridge, galley, interior or deck crew, good communication is key to ensuring safety and efficiency. 📡💬

What do you do onboard a super yacht when there are no Guests?

When there are no guests onboard, it's all about keeping the yacht in top shape and preparing for the next adventure. 🚤✨ We’re always polishing, maintaining, and ensuring everything is running smoothly – from deep-cleaning the decks and interior to checking systems and inventory. 🔧🧽
But it’s not all work! We take time to unwind and bond as a crew, enjoy the views, and sometimes even get to explore new spots when the yacht’s anchored. 🌊🌴 Whether it’s a bit of R&R or some crew training, there’s never a dull moment on a superyacht! 💙
