​A Moment of Celebration and History

​To our Director, Mr. Shafiek Rajap, Eoan Group board members, our dedicated staff, the proud parents and families, and most importantly, to Jadyn: Congratulations on your Graduation🎖🎖

​Today, we are not just marking a completion. We are celebrating a fulfillment of a vision, the culmination of countless hours of hard work, the setting of a new standard, a new beginning and a historic milestone in the history of the Eoan Group🇿🇦🇿🇦

When we established the Eoan Group Academic Centre in January 2020, our vision was to create a space that blends the rich history and community spirit of the Eoan Group Performing Art School with the innovative, flexible world of the Southern African Virtual School which offers the Florida based curriculum via Flexpoint Education Cloud in the Southern African region. We wanted to offer a path that supports our youth not just with education, but with the foundation to become leaders and pioneers.

​Jadyn, you did not have the well-worn paths of alumnis before you. You did not have a long history of graduates to look to for guidance. Instead you helped build that path. You didn't just walk this path; you blazed the trail. A week after returning from your intensive cultural scholarship program in Jakarta, Indonesia, you submitted your final unit of your Physics module with bated breath for the outcome🙏🙏

As our very first graduate, you are living proof that this vision works. You have navigated the unique challenges of a virtual schooling environment with the need for immense self-discipline, time management and independent learning amidst your numerous local and international dance travels, your teacher assistant duties as well as your Royal Academy of Dance ballet exams while also benefitting from the supportive structure and community we’ve built here at Eoan Group🇿🇦

​Jadyn, you are a Eoan Group pioneer.
​Your journey is a powerful testament to dedication and resilience.There were undoubtedly many late nights, challenging subjects, peer pressure and many moments of doubt, as there are for any student yet you persevered. You showed up, you logged in, and you engaged. You did not only master the material but you helped us refine our processes simply by being our first, excellent student. We have learned as much from you as you have from us.

As you step into the next chapter with your five 'A's and one 'B+' and an average of 92%, whether it's professional life👩‍🏫, further education🎓​or simply just taking a well deserved break for now🏖know that you do carry the distinction of being our First✨️You will always hold a unique and honoured place in the history of our institution🇿🇦 We are incredibly proud that you embraced this opportunity with such maturity and commitment.

The Eoan Group School of Performing Arts & Academic Centre is proud to announce the amazing opportunity gifted to our Senior Trainee dancer and Academic Centre student, Jadyn Oks (20 years)✨️🌟🌺

Jadyn received and accepted the two month scholarship offered by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia to study Betawi Arts & Culture🇮🇩🇮🇩🇮🇩🇮🇩

The Indonesian Art & Culture Scholarship is a fully-funded cultural diplomacy program designed to promote multicultural understanding and build young leaders and agents of change in cultural diplomacy and creative economy🇿🇦🇮🇩
Jadyn is the youngest and the only representative for Africa, while the rest of the representatives selected for the program are from Asia-Pacific countries.

The highlights of the program will be;

Jadyn has also been accepted into the 1 year independent study program commencing September 2024🎉✨️✨️

Eoan dancers take on international stage - Athlone News Dancers from the Eoan Group of Performing Arts will soon be off to Germany to collaborate on a production called Our Songbook, with the German National Youth Ballet (Bundesjeugballett). They presented the same production at the Joseph Stone Auditorium in February this year. The upcoming performance....

Congratulations to Eoan's Academic Centre's Ballerinas🩰🩰 Emily Fortuin, Luca Oks and former Eoan student and currently at Joffrey Ballet School, Faahkir Bestman, on their amazing performances at the South African International Ballet Competition at Artscape❣️🤩🤩🤩They did Eoan proud💎
Emily was one of four dancers selected to reach and perform in the SAIBC Finals🦋3 South Africans🇿🇦and 1 South Korean🇰🇷

She walked off with the Bronze medal🥉🥉at SAIBC and a certificate of Merit for the beautiful duet with Faahkir💙choreographed by Uncle E and Teacher Mish assisted by Bilquees Alexander☀️
What a wonderful send-off for Emily who has been with us for 11 years😭and will now say farewell to Eoan to further her studies in Hamburg mid August💋🩰🩰 Wishing abundance for her new journey🦋❣️

Eoan Group Academic Centre students entered the Theatre Dance Association Contemporary and Ballet Repetoire Competition this past weekend and scooped up medals with their excellent performances🦋💋

Jesse Bredenkamp(18yrs) won the Gold medal in the Contemporary Awards for the 2nd year in succession‼️

Jadyn Oks(18yrs) placed 3rd in the Senior Contemporary Awards🦋

Emily Fortuin(17yrs) won 3rd place in the Ballet Repetoire🩰🩰and 2nd runner-up in the Contemporary Section🇿🇦
She will be leaving us in August to study at the Hamburg Ballet School in Germany🙏🎖 Find your wings and soar💃🏿
