The last day of the Narrative Therapy conference in Liverpool. After listening to Vanessa Jackson talk about the histories of black people four of us decided we HAVE to visit the International Slave Museum before leaving Liverpool. We skipped two presentations and got into an Uber. So pleased I went. We were back for the joyous closing!!

Narrative Therapy Conference, some highlights.

Attending the Conference organised by The Institute of Narrative Therapy in Liverpool. Pre-conference workshop by Johnella Bird today was stimulating and challenging like always. She has developed new ideas and frameworks. A delight to be able to participate today.

This past week I had the pleasure of teaching a One Week Narrative Therapy Intensive workshop in my house in Somerset West. We learned from one another and enjoyed the fact that we were joined by two very experienced family therapists from Stavanger, Norway.

Bill’s book Collaborative Therapy with Multi-Stressed Families served as wonderful inspiration to our work. I was lucky to spend a day with Bill and his family many years ago on their visit to SA. Sincere condolences to his family.
