π Theme: Community Helpers
What an exciting and inspiring week we had at Exploring Ants as we learned all about Community Helpers!
The children discovered how many special people work every day to keep our communities safe, healthy, and running smoothly. Through stories, discussions, creative play, and hands-on activities, we explored the important roles of helpers like doctors, firefighters, police officers, builders, and teachers.
One of the highlights of the week was our imaginative role-play. The children loved pretending to be helpers themselves β rushing to put out fires, helping patients, building structures, and keeping our little classroom community safe. It was wonderful to see their big imaginations, teamwork, and caring hearts shine through.
We also spent lots of time strengthening little hands and fine motor skills through building activities, construction play, and sensory bins filled with community helper toys. These activities help develop coordination, concentration, and problem-solving while the children play and explore.
β Dress-Up Friday was definitely a favourite!
The children came dressed as what they would like to be when they grow up β from firefighters and doctors to builders and superheroes. It was so special seeing their big dreams and bright personalities come to life!
π Extra-Murals This Week
Monday β Playball
Building coordination, teamwork, and listening skills through active play.
Wednesday β Dance Mouse

What a wonderfully active and exciting week weβve had exploring My Body! π
Our little ants learned about body parts, how our bodies move, and simple ways to take care of themselves. Through songs, movement games, and hands-on activities, they strengthened coordination, balance, and body awareness β all while having so much fun!
One of the highlights of the week was meeting Skully the Skeleton! 𦴠The children were fascinated and loved learning more about whatβs inside our bodies. There were lots of giggles, curious questions, and brave little hands touching bones as they explored how our skeleton helps us stand tall and move every day.
We also had fun experimenting with colour mixing β discovering how red and yellow make orange! π¨
