Lessons from Surat Hud

At the beginning of the surah, Allah has reminded us to pray for forgiveness to the Most Forgiving, to return back to Allah and the straight path. Then, we will have goodness in this world and the hereafter. If we refuse, however, we will receive a big disaster and calamity on the day of Judgment.

Throughout the whole surah, Allah reminds us to pray and as for forgiveness from Him. Likewise, His prophets also remind their people to ask for forgiveness from the almighty and they will gain Allah’s bounty and they will find Allah Most Forgiving and Most Loving.

But most of the past nations reject the appeal of their prophets to not ascribe partners to Allah and ask for His forgiveness. Thus, they were destroyed. What then makes us, today, feel secure from the punishment of Allah when we are engulfed and drowning in sin. I ask Allah to forgive my sins and all the sins of the Muslimin.

In Surah Hud, Allah also reminds us about his punishment and those who ridicule it and the day of judgement. These people will be engulfed in the very things that they used to mock and disbelieve. May Allah save us from the burning fire.

Then towards the end of Surah Hud, Allah makes mention of the ending of those who disbelieved and do bad deeds on Earth. They are engulfed by the fires of hell and in there they will be violently inhaling and exhaling. They would stay in there forever and hell is the worse of final abodes.

So let us protect ourselves from the worse of final abodes by establishing our prayers and doing good deeds. Turn to Allah and repent before the promised day comes.

A day which Allah promises would not be delayed once the time arrives. A day where the disbelievers would regret all their deeds and the believers would emerge smiling. So let us be among those who are looking forward to the day of judgement and not among those who regret. Ameen

All that is good comes from Allah and any shortcomings or mistake id due to the author’s own inaptitude.

The kindness has no bound nor an end
An artist, a nurturer, a student, a teacher
Four in one, plus a preacher
Child, teenager, adult or Old
Don’t need Midas touch, she is born gold
Black, brown, pale or white
Keeping the colours in your life bright
Widowed, divorced, married or single
Her various abilities, this status won’t hinder
Disable, deaf, dumb or blind
Her disabilities won’t let her lag behind
Rich, poor, queen or maid
She will be there to give you the shade
Famous, unknown, weak or strong
In her own way, mending the wrong
Tall, short, fat or thin
The size is not a scale to win
African, European, Asian or Arab
All stand equal in front of Rabb
Half of the world’s population is her
And the other half is raised by her
A responsibility of the hardest job she takes
And does it with full dedication for Allah’s sake
So don’t try to convert her into a male
She’s strong in her own gender as a female
As the generation she would raise
Could make the nation worth the praise
And Allah won’t judge on the basis of gender
Nor on beauty, but the hearts so tender 💜💜💜

Alhamdulilah the month of August has finally come to it’s end. A month where we celebrate the rights and strengths of women who came before us and those who are with us.

We make duaa that Allah reward these women who have sacrificed so much to nurture us ameen 💜💜💜.

Dar Al-Huda is a female haafith institution established in 2020. At our school we strive to learn the Quran and practice it's teachings with great perseverance. Other than memorization of the holy Quran we offer introduction to Tajweed, Seeratul-Mustapha, basic Fiqh etiquette, Arabic and Academics ( MJC education program).
