💰 The Details:
Learners can either pay a R50 once-off fee for the whole week, or R10 on the day they choose to participate.

Parents, please just ensure that all outfits remain appropriate, comfortable, and warm enough for the winter school environment. ❄️

CELEBRATING YOUTH DAY: THE FREEDOM TO DREAM 🇿🇦

As we approach Youth Day on 16 June, our Foundation Phase corridors were filled with a beautiful, vibrant glimpse into South Africa's future! 🌟

To celebrate, our youngest Brookies stepped onto campus dressed as the careers they want to follow one day. Our classrooms were bustling with future doctors, brave firefighters, IT technicians, cool DJs, dedicated police officers, and passionate Springbok rugby players. In the most heartwarming surprise of all, we even had a few mini-teachers and some very enthusiastic, lookalike mini-Mr. Dirks walking around! 💼👓📋

Seeing their smiling faces serves as a profound reminder of what Youth Day truly stands for. Today, because of the sacrifices made by the youth of 1976, our children live in a country where they have the right to an education, the freedom to dream, and the opportunity to actually fulfil those dreams.

Every single costume today represented a door that is wide open to them. Our mission at Brooklands Primary is to nurture those dreams daily—helping them Believe in their potential, find where they Belong, and Become the leaders, heroes, and game-changers of tomorrow.

To our incredible youth: South Africa's future is beautifully bright because it belongs to you. Keep dreaming big, working hard, and growing to greatness!

Our Brookies are taking their mental math skills to the next level! 🚀📊

We are absolutely bursting with pride to announce that two of our phenomenal learners, Lucia Lodder and Adam Taff, have officially qualified for the semi-finals of the prestigious Pick n Pay School Club Math24 Competition! 🏆

What is the Math24 Competition all about? 🤔
It is an incredibly fast-paced, high-energy mental math challenge where learners are given a card featuring four numbers. Using sharp logic, speed, and standard arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, or division), they have to manipulate those numbers to equal exactly 24—all in a matter of seconds! It takes incredible focus, quick thinking, and nerves of steel. 🧠

Representatives visited our school to put our learners to the test, and Lucia and Adam completely blew everyone away with their mathematical brilliance!

It is a massive honor to have them representing Brooklands Primary in the next round. If they continue their incredible streak through the upcoming regional semi-finals, they could earn an all-expenses-paid trip to Johannesburg to compete in the National Grand Finals! ✈️

Lucia and Adam, you are the perfect definition of what it means to Believe, Belong, and Become. The entire school is standing right behind you as you gear up for the semi-finals. Go lock in those 24s!
