At Boundary Primary School, the value of the month for August is "Kindness". Kindness is the quality of being friendly, generous, and considerate. The symbol that we have chosen to represent this value is a multi-coloured heart because there are many ways that one can show kindness to others.
How have you shown kindness this week? Let us know in the comments! β€οΈπ§‘ππππ

In line with our school's "Growing with Values" initiative, this month (June) we will be focusing on the value: Respect π
The colour to represent respect this month is pink.
Respect is a very important value. It incorporates various aspects of life such as having good manners, respecting your elders, yourself and others as well as your parents, teachers, one's body and environment. There are many ways one can show respect.
This is a whole school initiative and all stakeholders are encouraged to speak to children about the importance of each value.
Let us all grow with values!

At BPS, we have allocated a value for each month of this year (2021) that we will be focusing on in order to make our children aware of the importance of each value.
Walk down memory lane:
For the month of May, we focused on Empathy β₯οΈ and the colour was red.
Thank you so much to parents and guardians for your participation and allowing your child to wear a dash of red. The learners really enjoyed our Empathy Day ππ½

At BPS for the month of May, we are focusing on the value of "EMPATHY".
Having empathy means to have the ability to put yourself in someone elseβs shoes. π Itβs when you are able to feel what the next person is feeling and to show care for them.
To feel empathy is quite difficult especially if someone is going through something you have not yet experienced or are unable to relate to π₯Ί Thatβs why empathy is referred to as a value and a skill. If you ever find yourself in a situation where you are unable to empathize with another .... ask yourself:
βHow would I feel if ...?β
Red is the colour that symbolises empathy, because it is felt from the heart β₯οΈ
