In Montessori, mathematics isn't something to memorise—it's something to explore, understand, and enjoy. The addition strip board teaches the child to internalise the arithmetic combinations of addition equations from 1+1 up to 9+9, leading to the spontaneous memorization of addition tables 🌱

Today's lesson may be refining their thermic sense (the ability to perceive and discriminate temperature through touch), but the real learning is confidence, focus, and the joy of discovering "I can do it!"
