Metro North Education District

🎶👏 Metro North District is proud of the schools that represented our district at the Provincial SASCE Choir Competition held from 4–7 July 2026 at the Western Cape Sports School, Kuilsriver.

Our representatives were Gateway Primary School, Aberdare Primary School, Welwitschia Primary School, Nalikamva Primary School, Sinenjongo High School, and Masibambisane High School.

These schools earned their places by achieving first position in their respective categories at district level and showcased exceptional talent, discipline, and cultural expression on the provincial stage.

A special congratulations to Sinenjongo High School for qualifying for the National SASCE Choir Competition. We wish the learners, educators, and support team every success as they represent the Metro North District and the Western Cape at nationals in Pretoria.

MNED District officially kickstarted Child Protection Week with a staff briefing focused on creating safe, supportive, and caring spaces for every learner. Together, we continue to strengthen awareness, responsibility, and protection for all our learners.

On the 23rd & 24th of May 2026, our learners took to the stage and filled the atmosphere with beautiful harmonies and unforgettable performances.
