๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿค Strengthening safer schools through collaboration!

On Friday, 31 July, MNED hosted a Substance Abuse Workshop for educators and SBST members at Tygerberg High School.

Representatives from SAPS Anti-Gang Unit, the Department of Social Development, the City of Cape Town Metro Police, and Sister Alexander from Filia School shared valuable information on the legal framework, policies, referral pathways, the effects of substance abuse, identifying drugs, search and seizure procedures, and the correct process for conducting drug testing.

Thank you to all the stakeholders and participants for contributing to a successful and informative workshop as we continue working together to create safer, healthier school communities. ๐Ÿ’™

Celebrating schools that lead by example!

A big well done to the JG Meiring RCL for choosing to spend their 67 Minutes for Mandela Day making a difference where it matters mostโ€”within their own school community.

By taking ownership of their environment and encouraging fellow learners to get involved, they have demonstrated that meaningful change starts in our own sphere of influence. Every piece of litter picked up is a step towards a cleaner, greener, and more caring school.

We are proud to showcase this inspiring initiative and commend the learners and staff for their commitment to service and responsible citizenship.

๐Ÿ‘ Together, we continue to build schools that care, lead, and inspire.
