Thanks so much To Roberta Mathews and Teta

My name is Mzulungile Vinqishe and here is my story ,
I was born in the Eastern Cape in a small town called Idutywa I passed my grade 12 at JS Nskenjana in 2007. I arrived in Capetown looking for work , for 5 years I was looking for decent job but it is hard without proper qualifications , later I realized I wasted 5 years and then looked at life differently and said let me go to the college I went to the College of Cape Town to do Electrical Engineering
I did my N2 up to N6 from 2013 to 2016. In 2016 a lovely lady called Carmen at COCT introduced me an organization called TETA, who could fund my practical training to became a qualified artisan
I grabbed the opportunity with both hands I started my apprenticeship 2016 with a company called Airvent air conditioning and ventilation for three years learning as much as possible, on my last day of apprenticeship I got a call from another company called Erase where I started to work on my own as a semi skilled in refrigeration and air-conditioning. After a year we went into lock down due to covid19. The company had reduce the staff I was one of those people , within a week, I got call from Ice Technologies where I was appointed to work as Junior technician in refrigeration and air-conditioning, it was not easy but with College of Cape Town and TETA I I am employed. I say keep helping the students โค๏ธ๐Ÿงก๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ’š I am proud of myself because of u honestly.

I am looking to recruit and speak to a few boys and girls who are not in employment, education or training in the Atlantis area. Young people who are not connected with opportunities and networks. Are you able to put me in contact with such youth for a discussion we would like to have with them?

We are yet to decide on a venue but their travel costs would be reimbursed and there would be refreshments for them. The focus group would take place on the 14th or 15th June in Atlantis.

Would it be possible to put me in touch with a few young people who would be keen to have a discussion with us by next Tuesday, 1st June

Meet Abongile Bakada who unfortunately failed his 1st trade test attempt.. ACTS are now assisting this young man through funding by TETA to attempt a 2nd time to become a qualified artisan. ๐Ÿ™

I'm Abongile Bakada from Eastern Cape at Mthatha but I live here in Cape Town in Kuilsriver. I finish my Matric in Idutywa School Of Excellence in Eastern Cape. I came here in Cape Town to study electrical engineering in College Of Cape town. I have my N4.

I got a call from the college about the apprenticeship programme. I was so excited about it. Because that's when I realized that my dream is finally coming true. I've learn a lot at this industry. I've got an experience, thank to TETA for giving us this opportunity. This time I'm willing to give all my best to make it through.
