Show & Tell in our Peace Lily toddler class.

Last week, our theme was simple: bring something that makes you happy!

We had a little bit of everything - favourite soft toys, cars, trucks and other special things from home. Each child had a turn to show their friends what they had brought and tell us why they love it.

A lovely morning of sharing, talking and getting to know a little more about what makes each of our toddlers smile. 😊

When a toddler is deeply focused on a piece of work, they're doing so much more than completing an activity. They're building concentration, developing patience, learning to persevere, and discovering the satisfaction of doing something for themselves.

Grandparents Day at Lily House Claremont 💛

There was something so special about watching little hands and experienced hands working together.

Our children and their special guests spent last Friday morning preparing a snack together, chatting, laughing, and enjoying time that was entirely focused on one another.

Our toddlers didn't skip a beat on their first day of Term 3.

After a warm welcome back, they settled straight into their environment, choosing activities, concentrating on their work, and picking up right where they left off.

There's something so special about watching little ones return with confidence, independence, and a love for learning. Here's to another wonderful term of curiosity, discovery, and growth! 🌿

Yesterday, our team added the finishing touches to each environment, carefully preparing shelves, activities, and learning spaces ready for the first day of Term 3.

Now, all that's missing are the curious minds, busy hands, and smiling faces that bring our classrooms to life.

Puppet show fun at Holiday Club 🎭

Our holiday club children loved taking turns putting on their very own puppet shows with our handmade felt puppets. From silly voices to imaginative stories, each performance was as unique as the child behind it.

Puppet play is a wonderful way to encourage language development, build confidence, spark creativity, and strengthen social skills as children express themselves through storytelling and imaginative play.

Sometimes, all it takes is a puppet and a little imagination to create a story worth telling. 💛

Homemade playdough fun 💛🌈

There’s something extra special about creating something with your own hands… and then getting to play with it!

Our holiday club children loved measuring, mixing, and watching simple ingredients transform into soft, colourful playdough before letting their imaginations take over. ✨

From mixing and kneading to rolling, squeezing, and shaping, they were strengthening little hand muscles, developing fine motor skills, and exploring creativity through open-ended play. Learning has never felt so much fun!
