THE UNOFFICIAL SOUTH AFRICAN DICTIONARY 🇿🇦😂

NOW NOW
Not necessarily now. Definitely not later. Somewhere in between.

JUST NOW
Could be five minutes ago. Could be in five minutes. Context is everything.

SHAME
Can mean sympathy, excitement, affection, sarcasm or literally anything else.

LEKKER
Good. Great. Awesome. Delicious. Fun. Basically the answer to everything.

GATVOL
When you've had enough. You're over it. Completely finished with the situation. No more nonsense.

It's complicated.

But we wouldn't have it any other way.

Stay lekker, peeps. 🇿🇦

PROUDLY SOUTH AFRICAN. 🇿🇦

Our accents.

Our humour.

Our slang.

Our ability to turn absolutely anything into a braai.

Our habit of saying "just now" and "now now" like everyone knows exactly what we're talking about. 😂

There are a million little things that make South Africa home.

Vocap is all about celebrating them.

Wear your South African-ness with pride.

Stay lekker. 🇿🇦

YOUR CAP SAYS A LOT ABOUT YOU. 😎

Are you the oke who is always up for an adventure?

The one who has a braai planned before breakfast?

The one who is permanently "on my way"?

Or maybe you're just here for the lekker vibes. 😂

Whatever your personality, there's probably a Vocap saying that sums you up perfectly.

And if there isn't, make your own.

Because boring caps are overrated.

🇿🇦 THE BOKKE IN BALTIMORE! 🇺🇸

What a weekend! 🔥🏉

You can take the oke out of South Africa, but you can't take the South African out of the oke! 😂

From Cape Town to Baltimore, it's always lekker to see our Vocap gear travelling the world and the Bokke spirit travelling right along with it.

Thanks for taking Vocap along for the weekend, gents!

Proudly South African, always. 💚💛

SOME THINGS ARE UNIQUELY SOUTH AFRICAN. 🇿🇦

Whether it's saying "Howzit", replying "Ja, no, fine", or promising to be there "now now", we've got a language all our own.

It's part of what makes us proudly South African.

At Vocap, we're all about celebrating the words, humour and culture that connect us.

Wear it proudly.

OUR FAVOURITE PART OF WHAT WE DO...

It's seeing Vocap out there doing what it was made for.

On mountain trails.

At the rugby.

Around the braai.

Down at the beach.

On family holidays.

Every order becomes part of someone's story, and that's something we're incredibly grateful for.

Thank you for supporting local!

🎉 VOCAP TURNS 6! 🎉

On 14 August 2020, Vocap was officially born.

What started as an idea to celebrate the South African slang and humour we all know and love has grown into a proudly South African brand worn by legends all over the world. 🇿🇦

Six years of caps.

Six years of beanies.

Six years of personalised sayings.

Six years of gear for hundreds of brands and companies.

Six years of "lekker", "howzit", "eish", "now now" and everything in between.

Most importantly, six years of incredible support from everyone who has bought a cap, gifted one to a mate, shared a post, tagged us in an adventure or simply told someone about Vocap. Thank you. ❤️

Here's to the next chapter, more kiff designs, more South African sayings and plenty more lekker adventures.

Happy 6th Birthday to us! 🥳 🇿🇦
