Makaton Monday Alert 📣
This week’s sign is: SAD
When using Makaton, our facial expressions are just as important as our hand movements! The sign for sad should be paired with a sad facial expression to help communicate the feeling clearly.
So this week’s challenge is: can you remember to make your saddest face while doing the sign? ☹️

We are incredibly proud of one of our beautiful learners, Ethan Mockey, whose kindness and selflessness continue to inspire us all. 💙
For the past three consecutive years, Ethan has been faithfully collecting bread tags and bottle tops to support the initiative that our school supports in helping provide wheelchairs for individuals in South Africa who are in need, The Sweethearts Foundation.
What makes this even more remarkable is that Ethan does this purely out of compassion and care for others — expecting absolutely nothing in return. In his words, "My mommy and I collect bottle tops and bread tags out of love for others".
Ethan reminds us daily that true kindness knows no limits or criteria. His dedication, empathy, and willingness to help others speak volumes about the beautiful young person he is becoming.
Our school community can only admire and celebrate this incredible act of selflessness. We thank Ethan for showing us the power of giving, perseverance, and making a difference — one bread tag and bottle top at a time. 🌟
