Lentegeur School For LSEN

🌈 Every little bit helps bring our concert to life! 🌈

In order to support our upcoming concert, we have asked our learners to collect R50.

A BIG congratulations to our two superstars featured in this video, who brought in their full R50 contribution on the very first day! 👏🏽⭐ And a huge thank you to everyone who has already handed theirs in — we appreciate your support! 💛

A reminder to the rest of our learners to please bring in their R50 collection money. This contribution is helping us cover some of the costs of our upcoming concert, including costumes, décor and other concert expenses. 🎭✨

Every contribution helps us create a special celebration of all the colours that make our school unique! 🌈

🌈✨ ALL THE COLOURS OF THE RAINBOW ✨🌈

Every colour is unique, but together they create something beautiful. 💛💚💙❤️💜

At this year's school concert, we celebrate inclusivity, individuality and the uniqueness of every person who makes up our school community. Just like the colours of a rainbow, our differences come together to make our school brighter. 🌈

💊 MAKATON MONDAY! 🤟✨

This week’s sign is MEDICINE! 💊

For many of our learners, medicine is part of their everyday routine. Being able to communicate about familiar, meaningful things like medicine can help children express their needs and participate more independently in their daily lives. 🩷

Try using the sign alongside the spoken word:
👉 “Medicine” 💊🤟

Remember: Sign + Speech + Repetition = Communication! 🗣️🤟

🌟 Makaton Monday! 🌟

This week’s sign is “Nurse” 🩺💙

Our Makaton sign of the week is a wonderful opportunity for our school community to learn a new sign together and support communication for all. Why not practise the sign at home too? 👋

Can you show us the sign for Nurse? 🩺😊

Today, we celebrate one of our very own! 🌟

Our school is incredibly proud of our talented learner for representing our school on the Western Cape Education Department (WCED) News Segment for the month of July.

Thank you for being such a wonderful ambassador for our school community. We are honoured to celebrate this special milestone with you and look forward to seeing all that you accomplish in the future.

Congratulations—we are so proud of you! 💙🎉

📣 Makaton Monday Alert!

This week’s sign is: SICK 🤒

When using Makaton, our facial expressions help bring meaning to our signs. The sign for sick should be paired with a facial expression that shows you’re feeling unwell to make the message clear.

🤧 This week’s challenge: Can you show your best "I'm not feeling well" face while doing the sign?
