The fact that they still had energy to dance after the whole event is an indication of how good it was.🫠

Drop a ❤️ to celebrate our matric class of 2026

One of our most talented learners, 5 years of culture, healing, and joy in our school events.

Earlier today, our school held its Tie Ceremony, a milestone that felt like more than just a tradition, it felt like a promise for the future. From the first tie knot to the last award, the energy was unmatched!🥹

The room was filled with a beautiful energy, from the music playing in the background to the quiet, nervous excitement of our learners.
The most moving moment of the day was seeing our parents leaning in, hands steady and hearts full, helping their children straighten their ties for the first time. It was a simple gesture, but it spoke volumes about the love and support that carries these students forward. 🤝

Our guest speaker, Jason Make, shared a message that truly stirred the soul. His words, combined with the powerful wisdom shared by our Principal, reminded every learner in the room that they are capable of greatness. Watching our learners take to the stage for their performances showed us just how much talent and passion lives within our school. 🎭🎶

We also took a moment to honour the dedication and late nights of our academic stars. We celebrated the Top 3 learners in every subject and stood tall with our Top 10 achievers. The ceremony reached its emotional peak when our Number 1 learner was called to the stage to receive their award directly from the Principal, a moment of pure pride and hard-earned success. 🥇🌟

To our learners: as you wear these ties, remember the hands that helped you put them on and the community that is cheering you on every step of the way. Today was about more than just a tie ceremony; it was about the heart of our school. 📚❤️

SCHOOL NEWSLETTER
_Celebrating Progress, Commitment, and Excellence_

As we move steadily through the academic term, we would like to commend our learners for their continued dedication and positive attitude toward their studies and school activities.

SBA ASSESSMENTS UNDERWAY

We wish to inform all parents and guardians that SBA (School-Based Assessment) tasks have officially commenced. These assessments form a critical component of our learners’ overall academic progress. We strongly encourage every learner to attend school daily to avoid missing any assessments. Missed SBA tasks can negatively affect final results, and consistent attendance remains essential for academic success.

EXAMINATIONS APPROACHING

With examinations drawing nearer, it is important that learners begin preparing with focus and determination. The first examination of the year is particularly significant, as it sets the tone for the months ahead. A strong start builds confidence, establishes positive study habits, and lays a solid foundation for continued achievement. We urge learners to remain disciplined, organized, and proactive in their preparation.

APPRECIATION FOR FUNDRAISING SUPPORT

We extend our sincere gratitude to all parents, guardians, learners, and staff members who have supported our fundraising initiatives thus far. Your generosity, participation, and commitment to our shared goals are deeply appreciated. The success of these efforts reflects the strength and unity of our school community.

SPORT PARTICIPATION AND ACHIEVEMENT

We are equally proud of our learners who continue to represent the school in various sporting activities. Your enthusiasm, teamwork, and sportsmanship contribute meaningfully to the vibrant spirit of our institution. Participation in sports not only promotes physical well-being but also fosters discipline, resilience, and confidence.

PARENTAL SUPPORT AND COMMUNICATION

We kindly encourage parents and guardians to regularly monitor learner attendance and review schoolwork at home. Your involvement plays a vital role in motivating and encouraging learners to stay focused and committed to their academic responsibilities. Open communication between home and school strengthens learner performance and accountability. Please note that important updates and announcements are shared on our page as well as in the respective class parent groups, where class teachers provide ongoing communication and support.

As always, we remain committed to nurturing excellence in academics, arts, and athletics. Together, let us continue striving for growth, responsibility, and success in all that we do.

Thank you for your continued support and partnership.

Kind regards,
Fairdale no.2 High School

Two medals. One proud school community.

Our learners demonstrated exceptional commitment and resilience at yesterday’s athletics event, proving that talent flourishes when opportunity meets determination.

Although we are an art school, our purpose is holistic, to discover, nurture, and celebrate every gift our learners possess. Whether in the classroom, our stages, labs and fields, we stand behind their pursuit of excellence.

We were privileged to host the Director General of Education as he engaged with our Grade 12 learners of Fairdale 1&2 high schools ahead of their first examinations.

His message of perseverance, discipline, and self-belief served as a timely reminder that preparation and resilience are key to success. This thoughtful message inspired our students to approach this milestone with confidence and purpose. We thank him for investing in the future of our learners.
