What is glaze even? 🔎

Glaze is a liquid coating we add onto pottery before its final firing. ✨

At first, it looks dry, chalky, and nothing like the finished piece. But once it’s fired in our kilns at 1200°C, the glaze melts and transforms into a smooth, glass-like surface that seals the pottery and brings out all the colour and texture underneath.

This is one of the weekly processes in the studio - our glazing king takes care of glazing our workshop pieces. Pottery Club members glaze their own pieces 🙌

OOhh la la 💘 On Valentine’s Day we hosted a sgraffito workshop and lovebirds got to carve their designs onto these heart shaped plates 😍 delighted with how these came out and we can’t wait to share more kiln dumps this week 🙌 pottery date night link in bio

Pottery Club is our take on weekly pottery classes in the city 🔥 packages have 4 or 12 sessions and you may book them for any available sessions online to come hang out and make pottery in the studio. All materials, tools and firings are included and we include some pottery paints and glazes as well 🎨 learn more via the link in our bio
