You are invited to attend a discussion by Prof. Zayd Waghid, PhD, an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Education at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) in South Africa. He is a South African National Research Foundation Chair (SARChI) in Education, Social Justice and Society.
The question around whether Artificial Intelligence (AI) risks undermining or displacing specific cultural values or knowledge practices remains critical. In this talk, we argue that the integration of AI would be better integrated in educational contexts when students are taught to position themselves as critical global citizens.
