Read carefully!

Children are meant to play, children under 5 are not made to read, even sight words. Educare is there to teach and master skills and independence, the goal is not for the child to learn content. Reading is part of content, that can start after 4, it begins with recognition and then letter identification, leading to sight words and eventually reading. Stop pushing your children to be the best, allow them to engage in age appropriate activities and play.

Experiences help shape children, they broaden their minds, help their vocabulary, show them different things and help them understand the world.
Take them out, let them experience the world, their senses are there to use for exploring, let them play, let them explore.

Cause and effect in the early years

This simple activity teaches cause and effect and the element of surprise in young children. At first children are scared and anxious and coming out the other side brings joy and happiness.

This is a simple cause and effect activity using an adventure tunnel. This promotes self-regulation, a skill developed in the early years. When children can self- regulate it is easier for them to learn and retain information.
