So at My last C.L.A.’Y Class, I handed back the little potters' previous project, which was based on a theme from the Dr Seuss book ' Oh The Places You'll Go'.
The idea sprung to mind to have them create a Hot Air Balloon which features in the story...
A way to Soar to Great Heights🎈
I, however, did not only want it to be just a static project, but wanted it to also move or have the ability to move through the air like an actual Hot Air Balloon would. With Safety in mind, the creative and scientific juices starting to oil those rusty hinges to get the wheels turning again. First I thought of using a tealight candle, water in the balloon and hoping it might create enough steam to lift off the ground...unfortunately that did not prove to be a very safe option and posed too many hazardous risks for a little person.
Back to the thinking block... looking out at Table Mountain from my balcony...thinking of a cable car... YAY...💡lightbulb moment.
Add a long string, 2 friends, SeeSaw Motion and Eureka a moving Hot Air Balloon.

Made me realise, that sometimes great ideas 'just need 2' to get off to a soaring start.

For some youthful encouragement from a master of Rhyme pick up a copy of Dr Seuss' book 'Oh The Places You'll Go'
Grab your child/children, snuggle up close and set that imagination ablaze.

Trying to keep my foot in the doorway to success. Started a small class as a way to market and promote this Initiative.

The Little Potters in my tiny group @ Jacobs Ladder Pre-school made these Gorgeous Peacocks as Symbols of Light & Love. Encouraged to Spread Their Light to Family & Friends in a Time when the World needed much Love, Kindness & Prayer.

So this is what I decided to create.
by an Age old Family 'anti boredom' game called , and the fact that I didn't have such a game and was being challenged to a virtual "who will solve the game first" quest, by my sister, who had her own one, sparked off those creative juices and I settled in to design mode.
I had some marbled clay (a mixture of white and brown airdry clay) over from the Owl Wall hanging projects I did with my Jacobs Ladder Potters, so this seemed like a unique piece to make.🤗🤩
Below is the finished product 🙌
In one set I've used my youngest son, Liams' brilliantly colorful marble collection and in the other set of pics I've used Little Clay Balls that were made with the Solitaire frame.
Let The Games Begin🏆🤸‍♀️
Perhaps the next Piece will be a Chess or Draughts Set🤔

2020 behind Me...Schools closed and C.L.A'Y pottery classes on Holiday too.
Lockdown turning A Summer Holiday into a repetitive- Blue Monday Cycle...🤔

So 2020 has come and gone and if you are Blessed to be reading this post, then Thank God Our Divine Creator that we have made it safely to 2021.🙏💗🕯

Look forward to this road ahead and remember the lessons and growth that came in the stillness of 2020.
