Happy 4th Birthday to Aspeling Academic HUB (High School) we are excited what holds next for us as a community.

Reading is a big part of our school's culture.

Reading helps learners improve their vocabulary, comprehension, and critical thinking skills. However, South Africa faces a serious reading crisis.

According to the 2021 Progress in International Reading Literacy Study (PIRLS), 81% of South African Grade 4 learners cannot read for meaning in any language.

This means that many children can read the words on a page but struggle to understand what they have read. As a result, learners find it difficult to succeed in subjects such as Mathematics, Science, and Social Sciences, where understanding written information is essential. Our school encourages reading every day to help learners become confident readers and improve their understanding of what they read.

The journey has not been easy, but by the grace of God, we have come this far. We are deeply grateful to our parents, dedicated staff, learners, and the entire community for your unwavering support throughout these four years.

Thank you for believing in our vision and for walking this journey with us. Your encouragement and commitment have played a vital role in our growth and success.

Due to the extremely bad weather conditions being experienced today, we advise all grades to remain at home. All classes will continue online as normal.

Learners must attend their online sessions from 08:15 until 14:30 as per the normal school schedule.

If any learners do not have supervision at home, teachers will be available on the school premises.

The safety of our learners remains our utmost priority.
