🌸 *Happy Grandparents' Day!* 🌸

Today we had the honour of hosting our wonderful grandparents at Bellville Crèche Care, and what a special day it was!

Our little ones put on a mini concert just for their grandparents and proudly showed off their dance moves. The grandparents didn't disappoint either, with many joining in the fun and showing us exactly how the *MACARENA* is done! 💃🕺

Thank you to all our grandparents for joining us and making the day so memorable. A big thank you as well to our amazing teachers for putting everything together, and a special shout-out to our very own teacher grandmoms.

It was a beautiful day filled with smiles, laughter, dancing, and special memories. ❤️

🌿 Good day, Parents 🌿

This week our theme was *Healthy Environment*, and what a lovely week of learning it has been!

Our little ones learned all about keeping our environment healthy, caring for the world around us, and understanding the importance of recycling.

The children explored how recycling works by sorting items into groups such as glass, tins, cardboard and paper — what a fun and exciting activity this was! Their enthusiasm was wonderful to see.

Throughout the week, the children enjoyed a variety of themed activities across all age groups. Our younger classes and potty training groups created messy environment art using torn paper, and decorated clean park scenes by drawing grass and learning how we care for our environment.

We also included academic learning through sorting, counting, matching, fine motor activities, discussions, sensory play and creative art using recycled materials.

We ended off the week with our exciting Recycling Fashion Show! ♻️🎉

Our little ones truly showed up and had an amazing time showing off their recycling fashion creations! The creativity and effort that went into these outfits inspired us, and we really have to take our hats off to our wonderful parents — well done!

Yesterday our Grade R learners had their very first chess lesson – how exciting! ♟️

Chess helps develop important skills like patience, strategic thinking, and even early maths, all while learning something new and fun. Our little ones were so eager and engaged during their lesson!

Watch this space… we may have some future chess masters in the making! 😊

What a fun-filled week we’ve had!

We started off and ended off strong with karaoke!
But our creative highlight of the week was *Funky Hat Day* Our little ones had the best time showing off their creative, colourful hats to the other classrooms.
There were so many smiles, laughs, and proud moments! 🎩✨
