“In the beginning, I was really nervous about doing this course, but reading through all the information taught me so much. It provided me with valuable knowledge that can be used in all situations and it helped me to work on my practical teaching skills. Doing the tasks and thinking in a more practical way helped and boosted my creative thinking and writing skills.

During this course I learned to plan my lessons well before and make sure that I am well prepared with presenting a lesson with confidence to students or adults. I had a lot of fun learning about classroom management, learner involvement and support, and different teaching strategies that work for teaching online and in front of a classroom.

The course taught me how to interact with learners with different learning styles and how to provide them with the correct support and encouragement.

TEFL helped me understand how to help learners who are learning English as a third or fourth language. It also equipped me with the necessary tools to create supportive, engaging, learner-centred lessons that keep learners’ attention.

Thank you Tarryn, for creating this course and that manual.”

“I really enjoyed this TEFL course. It did not feel overwhelming or overly difficult, and I never felt like I was ‘studying’ in a stressful way. The course flowed well, and I was able to complete it in under two weeks without needing to work on it every single day.

I learned a lot about different teaching techniques, classroom games, lesson planning, and how to work with students from different cultures and backgrounds. The course helped me understand what it truly means to be a TEFL teacher and gave me confidence in my ability to teach English effectively.

I would highly recommend this course to others who are interested in teaching English, especially those who enjoy working with children and want practical, useful teaching strategies.”

I facilitated a workshop at the annual Rotary Teacher Conference for educators serving underprivileged schools in the Western Cape recently.

Teachers learn and develop best through engagement with other teachers, so I created a game to motivate teachers to communicate and share experiences, frustrations, successes, challenges, and solutions.

Message me for more information on workshops for mainstream schools.

This is the latest awesome review we received from a qualified and experienced teacher who just completed our course.

"I thoroughly enjoyed this course as it gave me the opportunity to think about my value as a teacher and as a human being. It gave me new insight into the way English can be taught as a foreign language and the fresh ideas which I learnt will definitely stand me in good stead when I attempt teaching English as a foreign language.

I learnt about new and different methods to teach English. I obtained perspective in the use of games and in the learning and teaching process. I enjoyed learning new things about teaching, planning and organisation of my teaching. I enjoyed the creative energy which flowed from this course and which inspired me to even greater heights in my teaching.

I loved the manner in which the course was set up and organized and presented. I am an experienced and seasoned teacher, but I opened my mind to new and fresh, exciting ideas and gained fresh knowledge which I will willingly share with all students who come under my guidance in years to come.

One is NEVER too old to learn, and at my age, this course was the right thing that came at the right moment in my life. Thank you for allowing me to participate. I also value the wonderful feedback I received on the tasks which I had completed.

I really enjoyed d**g this course and had I known beforehand that I would enjoy it, I would have enrolled sooner.
