Come flow with me
Table View, Cape Town
Water flow every Monday at 9:15 am.
This is a gentle start to your Monday with a slow flow where we focus on alignment and good posture. Very beginner friendly. Also great for seasoned practitioners who want to brush up on alignment.
Fire flow every Thursday at 8am.
Here we move a little faster to build heat within the body and get the blood flowing. Beginners are welcome, just know it's fast pace and poses will be harder. Variations will be given where possible.

"Saucha is the first of the five niyamas (personal observances), which form the second limb of yoga as described in "The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali." The Sanskrit term can be literally translated as "purity," "cleanliness" and "clearness," and it covers the cleanliness of body as well as the purity of mind. This niyama reminds one to live a healthy life and keep the body and mind pure. Healthy diet, personal hygiene and self-care are also considered saucha.
Practice of saucha starts with the external environment and keeping the surroundings clean. It also includes purity of bodies from both outside and inside, relationships and speech."

Observe things accurately.
The best way to do this is to listen in silence, and not make unnecessary noise. See the truth, and not what they want you to see. Hang around those who resonate with you, and let go of the relationships with those who do not.
And lastly, if you have to say something, remember to ask yourself :
Is it true?
Is it kind?
Is it necessary?
(my favorite) does it improve the silence?
Now, go observe the world you wonderful free being.

Aerial yoga has really elevated my yoga practice. It has changed my approach in certain Asanas, and also helps to ground me and keep the ego in check by reminding me that the practice itself is the goal, and not a specific pose.

Sit with yourself
Become quiet
Draw your awareness inward
Only then can you see and recognize your chaos. Once you recognize your chaos, would you be able to master your chaos.

Finding balance within your practice is more than just physical balance.
It is also mental and spiritual balance. Knowing when to push and when to pull.
