And Pirate Week is complete... we have had such fun!
We had treasure hunts, we walked the Plank, we tossed cannon balls, we made parrots and telescopes... we sang pirate songs and simply embraced the silly fun, while learning through play.
If you would like the details of each of our activities, as well as 10 age appropriate worksheets that are designed to help nurture critical thinking, numeracy and literacy skills... I will be uploading our Pirates, ahoy! Activity book onto Etsy tonight. It will be available at a discounted price for a few days, so don't dally...

BOTANICALS WEEK
We enjoyed a week of sunshine and all the beautiful Spring Feels... we got our hands dirty learning to pot plants, we made fairy flower bangles, we attempted a Flower Crush, we conducted science experiments and did lots of arts and crafts.
It was a good week!

LITTLE BAKERS WEEK
We have had a super busy and creative week!
We decorated cupcakes with our felt play elements, and baked chocolate banana muffins, we had our weekly sensory play day (and had a new friend join us which meant double the fun!), we baked butternut & banana bread, we visited the library, we experimented with using cookie cutters as stamps, we had our second Playgroup and B went dancing, the playdough came out for a second time and in between all of that, we still had our Activity worksheets... this mama is exhausted!
Any suggestions for next week's theme? I am needing some inspiration!

What is it about kids and dinosaurs?? Instant success! Our Dinosaur Week has come to an end, and the kids had such fun...
We saw vinegar dissolve our Dino Egg into bubbles and foam
We did a jello Dino Dig (not a favourite apparently) we painted with sponges and building blocks
We had a picnic with friends in the local Bot Gardens
We had our first Playgroup meet up and made new friends
We did our weekly activities
It's been a busy week. With school holidays, we have made the most of creating opportunities to simply Play with other little people. It's been fun with lots of giggles and few scraped knees.
