Good day to the Principal , teachers and fellow schoolmates

Earlier on this year , when we began the first term we were given a code of conduct to read with our parents/guardians to ensure that we know the activities we shouldn't engage ourselves in as they are condemned by the school. The consequences for disobeying the rules were clearly stated in the code of conduct.

In the previous term the school have came across many cases of late coming , frequent and unjustified absentism, the use of illegal substances within the school premises and other forms of misconduct that leaners engaged in.

Some or probably many of us are now learners in this school because it was recommended amongst the best public schools that we can go to considering a variety of things that this school excels in , one of them being academic excellence.

However, in order to maintain the image and dignity that Isilimela High School have built over the past years, disciplined and well mannered learners are a key to that .

I believe that as the learners; we are the most important stakeholders in the school , therefore we have a significant contribution towards the way the school may be seen and regarded in the community and areas surrounding Langa. The way we conduct ourselves as learners of this school may either build or tarnish the image of the school.

It is my wish that we all strive to add value to Isilimela High School instead of tarnishing its name down. It is my wish that we become a tool towards the growth of the school instead of being a constraint towards the growth of the school. We also have to work together in ensuring that Isilimela High School is a place of peace, joy and love while achieving academic excellence.

We all have to work together to ensure the well-being of the school and enhance each other's learning experience.

Honesty , integrity , respect and accountability are key in making school a better place and that all lie on our shoulders .

I hope we will continue to run the 2024 race with a great degree of optimism and confidence and I wish you a great and fruitful second academic term

Next, she will be representing our school in the National Junior Athletics Championship

Congratulations to Sanele Ngqatha for his achievement in the Science Olympiad Competition.

He participated in the Competition and came in:

- 3rd position Nationally

Matric Dance 2023 🔥

Congratulations to our high school soccer teams on winning the Metro Central Education Department Super Cup Tournament.

The results are as follows:
1. Under 18 boys WON the finals
2. Under 16 girls WON the finals
3. Under 16 boys eliminated on semi-finals
4. Under 14 boys eliminated on quarter-finals

We wish to congratulate our learners for all their efforts, commitment and hard earned championship.

Your impressive performance has made Isilimela High School proud.

Message from The Principal

We have come to the end of Term 3!...
I would like to take this time and commend each and everyone for your dedication and hardwork throughout the term.
There were challenges that you faced academically, personally and simply day-to-day demands of life, you stuck it out and did not give up.

Take this time to relax and prepare to start term 4 with great vigour as it is the final term that will determine your future. Remember, your destiny is in your hands.

"Always remember you are capable of more than you think, your potential is limitless and you can achieve whatever you set your mind to."

The Principal

Isilimela High School learners, Okuhle Qotolo and Melathi Mngomeni took part in a Moot Court Oral Competition that was happening at Paarl Magistrate court last Saturday of the 26th August 2023.

They were a part of it after they have won the round of essay writing and were called to represent Metro Central District for the 2nd round which was orally presented.

We wish to thank them very much for representing our school and our school team.

Diversity doesn't always drive people away from each other but more often it brings them together.

Our learners together with Bellville High learners that are part of Hands For A Bridge program at Isilimela High visited the Langa Labantu orphanage as part of their Women's month celebration.

They donated with blankets, clothing and cleaning material to the orphanage home.

Isilimela High School is pleased to have learners that take part in programmes that give back to the community, especially to the senior citizens.
