Today our school held a memorial service to celebrate the life of our Grade 10A learner, Mbali Dyantyi, who sadly passed away on the 7th August 2023.
Mbali will always be in our hearts and will be remembered.
Our heartfelt condolences, sympathy and prayers to the family, close friends, community and the entire Isilimela family( especially 10A learners) during this difficult time.
We wish the Dyantyi family comfort, peace, courage and lots of love during this time of sorrow.
Rest In peace Angel.

Our school will be hosting a talent show on the 15th June 2023. SAVE THE DATE!
We are excited to invite our learners and their parents to come watch the school's upcoming talent show.
This show is a chance for our students to showcase their talents as part of our vision to develop learners holistically.
The talent show will be held at 12h00 in the school hall. The event will be jam-packed with fantastic entertainment, as we have assembled a talented cast of perfomers AND a special guest that will delight you with their amazing perfomances.

The competition was held at Cape Town Medical Museum. It was organised by the Department of Arts and Culture as part of their celebration for Museum month.
Our school is excelling at encouraging our learners to partake in extracurricular activities to stimulate their skills.

Isilimela High Received Donation of Laptops
Today our school received a generous donation of laptops and stationary from an organization called My Vote Counts.
These Laptops are going to hugely assist our grade 12 learners improve their productivity in education. Learners will use them to work on their school projects or assignments, apply for higher institutions, apply for bursaries or study loans, etc... using the school's internet access.
We would like to thank this amazing organization for their unwavering support to our school.

On Saturday, some of our learners received an invitation to attend Zenazi Ndinani NPO official launch event, which was held at Langa High School Hall.
Zenazi Ndinani is a Non-Profit Organization aiming to provide underprivileged children with basic needs such as school clothing and footwear to promote children's educational journey.
We wish to acknowledge the significant impact played by Zenazi Ndinani Organization in improving the lives of our learners.

On Friday, 24th February 2023, the school had an awards giving ceremony for outstanding academic achievements for the year 2022.
This ceremony was held to celebrate the immense hard work and dedication of both our learners and teachers for their exceptional performance in the matric exams.

We are a school with a unique partnership with Roosevelt High in Washington, USA - through a program called Hands For A Bridge.
This is an innovative and immersive program designed to educate and empower students to build a more connected, informed and just society.
Learners are taught to reach a hand with another learner and they learn to ask questions about who they are and what are the cultural differences.

Our Isilimela High School grade 10 learners in the Science stream attended a career exhibition at Kisternbosch National Botanical Garden.
The aim was for learners to engage with information about a variety of biodiversity careers as well as which university courses to study directly from the Practitioners.
At Isilimela we are determined to serve good quality education.
