Just a reminder that our Family Event at Steenberg has moved from 21 June to Sunday, 26 July. Part of our Sunday Junior Series Course Readiness programme at Steenberg Golf Club, it is a chance for juniors to enjoy the game alongside a parent or family member, sharing time on the course and building meaningful golfing memories together.

All family combinations are welcome, including moms, dads, guardians, and other supporters. Spots are limited, so book early to secure your place.

This weekend:
Remember that the juniors will also take to the course for another Target 36 event this Sunday, 21 June. It will be a fun and supportive on-course challenge where they can put their skills into practice, track their progress, and build real confidence in their game.

Congratulations to Chloé Utterson on her stunning performance in the 2026 WP Nomads Junior Girls Championship. 👏⛳

She secured third place in the Championship division, and came second for Best Nett. She was also awarded the Goldsbury & Stewart Trophy for the U16 Best Gross 36-Holes. We're proud of you, Chloé!

Both Chloé Utterson and Zoey Rhoda put in superb performances at the WP Nomads Junior Girls Championship at Rondebosch Golf Club. 💪⛳️

Chloé Utterson finished 3rd overall, closing out her tournament with a strong final round of 77 for a total of 238. A fantastic result and a brilliant finish!

Zoey Rhoda placed 5th, kicking things off with an excellent opening round of 77 on her way to a total of 241. A great showing across a tough three days!

Nic Schrieder and Dan Copeman, together with Westlake teammates Pietie Loubser and Nicholas Thompson, finished as runners-up at the 2026 Winter Team Championship, carding a brilliant team total of 422, just one shot off the champions. Great team effort, Gents! ⛳👏

Macen Lesbirel took 1st place in the U/15 A division at the 2026 Junior Winter Series 3, posting an excellent round of 70.

That kind of result is the product of hard work, focus, and a real love for the game. We could not be prouder to have you in EOGA Golf Academy, Macen! 👏⛳️

Target36 Sunday @ Steenberg (Part 1)

18 of our developing juniors took on the Target 36 Challenge at Steenberg recently, and what a great afternoon it was. The format gave the kids a structured, fun way to test the skills they've been building in weekly clinics, putting them into a real on-course setting where every shot counted toward their score.

A special shoutout goes to Harry Welsh, who graduated from 50m at this event with a brilliant score of 35. At just 8 years old and in Grade 3, Harry has now passed both his 25m (back in March) and 50m distances first time round. A fantastic effort, Harry. Keep it up!

We also want to give a special mention to Leo Maree, who shot an impressive 30 in his very first event at 25m, making it the lowest score so far! A brilliant start to your competitive journey, Leo. Watch this space! ⛳

Well done to Macen Lesbirel on a fantastic result at the 2026 Junior Winter Series 2, finishing 2nd in the Boys U/15 A division with a round of 75 (c/i). We are proud of you, Macen! 👏
