What is Rote learning?
Learners are simply taught a Rule without understanding the concept e.g
ANY NUMBER DIVIDE BY 1 IS THE SAME NUMBER : 4÷ 1 = 4
MATH AND SCIENCE IS BASED ON UNDERSTANDING LAWD AND RULES WHICH GELP LEARNERS TO SOLVE REAL LIFE PROBLEMS : E.G.
1. ALL ACIDS CONTAINS HYDROGEN(H)
2.ALL BASES CONTAINS HIDROXIDE(OH)
WHEN LEARNERS GETS FORMULAS THEY WILL BE ABLE TO EASILY IDENTIFY AN ACID OR A BASE e.g. NaOH,Mg(OH)2 ,HCl,H2SO4
Educator then gives a challenge:
What about H2O( water)
