🌿 How do you start your week?

I started mine by making a big pot of bone broth. With a neurodiverse family, food plays such an important role in keeping everyone grounded, happy, and regulated. It’s such a simple thing to do, but it makes a huge difference in how the rest of the week flows — nourishing, balancing, and bringing a sense of calm to our meals.

Really one of the best places to have your kids learn about the arts - what a variety! Francois was captivated by the engineering and science behind photography and sculpture - finding out that a custom built bicycle is a work of art. Adriaan loved to learn about monotype printing and trying out different marks with watercolour and oil pastels.

For youth day we visited the long walk to freedom exhibition in Century City - 100 sculptures commemorating all the people from our history that lead South Africa to become a democratic country. The game we played - pick your favorite 3 sculptures and then go and research them using Chat GPT. Most importantly think about the questions you will ask and remember to ask where the information was sourced, then read!
