Early mornings, crisp and clear today. Breathe in breathe out... It's good to be here
Indigo Horse Centre
The centre focuses on equine assisted psychotherapy as well as children's grass roots education, with holiday empowerment programmes as a bonus.
While the core of Indigo Horse Centre revolves around the horses, we are home not only to the Centre's horse 'team' but to Equestrilibrium, Organikidz Playgroup, Chartwell International School and Flightlings Children's Empowerment Programmes. Our passions are varied and mix well to formulate an environment whereby children, teens and adults can benefit from the varied modalities of education, life skills and emotional wellbeing based therapies that are the cornerstones of the centre.
Another beautiful space, mainly for EAP and one on one sessions ... I did make the holes for the first small section (for the white temp uprights) but that was pretty hard work I have to say, hammering a simbi in with a 4lb hammer on this ground ! Copped out on the big section and enlisted the help of someone much younger βΊοΈ and then I ran the tape. Loving this way of fencing, makes it so flexible in terms of the areas we can use.
My heartfelt thanks to Mandy Prince and Mike Prince for being so wonderful.

Whilst I sit listening to the fish eagles calling, let me re-acquaint you with our Shiloh. If I could put into words, both adequately and briefly, the connections and experiences that people have with him I would. I have found a song that does him justice (songs can be so meaningful). When you have some time to sit with yourself take a listen to A Beautiful Noise by Alicia Keys and Brandi Carlisle. Shiloh has this wonderful attribute in that he can be a powerhouse in the herd and yet with people both child and adult he brings a gentle yet steadfast purposefulness allowing young and old to find their own presence, guidance and inner strength. What a boy. PS he had had a good roll after the drizzle last night so not his cleanest π₯°

Let's do a re-acquaint with the boys first. Silveron Porsche fondly known as Silver. Number first simply because I got this beaut pic this morning. As with a number of the herd, came to us as a livery around 2019 then left and magically came back a couple of years back and joined us permanently. Always a firm favourite with my horse-skills kiddos/teens and fitted into the EAP side very well, exceptional in any team/group environment. This boy has settled in and is absolutely thriving. Looooves our outrides and is so enthusiastic in the best possible way. Looking forward to seeing him back in the work environment... He is a charmer !
We are so blessed to have such a versatile and beautiful farm to work from. We have selected 3 different areas to work within, but not limiting ourselves as the choices are fabulous dependent on what scenarios/modalities we are working with. Views of two for now.

Outrides with other people and horses and ponies is soooooo exhilarating... After years of "inside outrides" I am appreciating where we are and absolutely loving the folks I am meeting ... And yes that's Shiloh and I bringing up the rear....
His favourite spot.... He is leading from behind πππ

Update on Indigo Horses .. we have moved location to Camperdown in Kwa Zulu Natal and updates will be loaded soon. We are happy and settled, took a little while for the horses. Older we all most definitely are, but still passionate about what we facilitate. Time for new beginnings all round.

Saturday EAP sessions with the boys were (as usual) exceptional. Both horses were on point. Trusting the horses and their interactions with our clients was paramount for optimal benefit. Fantastic sessions with your clients Bianca Keeley. The herd at Indigo Horse Centre and I appreciate doing what we do.
Best way to have spent a hot Saturday morning "chilling". Fynn enjoyed every second. So enriching for the girls to be able to "give back" to the horses and ponies in a caring but fun way..... plus learn more about watching behaviour to keep on the horse's page. Ticks many boxes
