Important Announcements from the Butterworth Campus Writing Centre



Dear Members of the Butterworth Campus Community, Walter Sisulu University,



The Butterworth Campus Writing Centre extends a warm welcome to everyone for the new academic year. We are dedicated to supporting students across all disciplines and levels of study as they navigate the demands of academic writing.



We have two important updates to share with you:



(i) New Microsoft Bookings System for Writing Centre Appointments:



To improve the efficiency and accessibility of our services, we have transitioned our appointment booking system from the WCOnline-Fundanathi platform to Microsoft Bookings. Students and staff can now easily schedule appointments using the pinned "WC Bookings" link within this Viva Engage community.



Attached to this post is a poster outlining the booking process. Students can access the booking page by scanning the QR code on the poster or clicking the active link provided. Please encourage your students to utilise this new, streamlined system.



(ii) Invitation to the Writing Centre Book Club:



For all members of our community who share a passion for reading and engaging in thoughtful discussions, we would like to highlight the Butterworth Campus Writing Centre Book Club. We warmly invite new members—both students and staff—to join this ongoing initiative and participate in enriching literary explorations. Further details about the book club are available in the second attached document.



We encourage you to share this information with your students and colleagues. Please do not hesitate to contact the Writing Centre if you have any questions or require further information about our services or the book club.
