The WSU Butterworth Campus Drama Society's street performance was absolutely stunning🫡🫡 our audience was blown away by the beautiful short story brought to life on stage.🤗 The energy, talent, and passion displayed by the performers left everyone in awe, making it a truly unforgettable experience. We’re sorry 🙏for the delay in posting the videos of the show; we wanted to share the magic with those who couldn’t be there in person, and we hope you enjoy reliving the beautiful moments from the performance at the hostel (next to Block A & B) on 17 February 2026.

WSU BUTTERWORTH CAMPUS DRAMA BENCHMARKING WORKSHOP AT THE UNIVERSITY OF ZULULAND.

As part of the benchmarking various things were included on the activities done from the 16th to the 19th of September 2025.
1. Guided tour of the University of Zululand’s (theatres, rehearsal rooms, costume workshops).
2. Observation of live performances and rehearsals.
3. Participation in acting, directing, or stage design workshops.
4. Discussions with creative arts department and student theatre groups.
5. Exchange of ideas, and performance feedback.
6. Documentation of learning outcomes.

Both University's Drama groups staged their 2025 productions, WSU (Kwa-DAISY directed by Mr N. Khawula) and UNIZULU (Tarisai's Last Tear directed by Mr M. Ndlovu).

This benchmarking visit has inspired creative growth, broaden students’ theatrical perspectives, and improved the academic and practical skills in drama.
By learning from the University of Zululand, drama students have been enhanced with knowledge, confidence, and artistic vision to enrich production and learning at Walter Sisulu University.

We strongly encourage self love and confidence 😍 if you need a safe space we are at the rehearsal room everyday at 4pm , just come and you will realize that you are not worth to be a victim of bullying 🌍 by the love of Art 🎭
