Dear Parents,

Thank you so much for your amazing support and for getting costumes for our learners. Our Creative Arts dance was a huge success because of you! The children looked beautiful and performed with so much pride and confidence.

They showcased 4 cultures:

1. Zulu Culture:* Known for powerful, high-kicking movements and vibrant beadwork. The dance shows strength, unity and pride.

2. Pedi Culture:* Known for graceful footwork and the famous _Dinaka_ (flutes). The dance shows joy and celebration.

3. Swati Culture:* Known for elegant and respectful movements, colourful Emahiya attire and singing. It shows beauty and dignity.

4. Tswana Culture:* Known for _Phathisi_ and _Setapa_ dance with energetic stamping. It shows teamwork and cultural pride.

Thank you for keeping our culture alive through our children!

Yes! September is *Heritage month*

Heritage is our identity, our food, our language, our clothes, songs and values from our ancestors. If we forget our heritage, we forget ourselves

On the 11th of june-The day bafana bafana lost to Mexico! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
our vibrant calvinites celebrated youth day!
50 years later and we live to reap the fruits of our freedom

Students planned a peaceful march. Police fired tear gas, then live bullets.
June 16 is now a public holiday in South Africa called _Youth Day_. It honors the students who stood up and all young people.
The uprising sparked more resistance against apartheid both in SA and internationally. Sanctions and pressure on the apartheid government increased after this.
It showed how unfair Bantu Education was and why quality, equal education matters.

Stay tuned to see what our college put together
