🌈 Sensory Day at The Talk Shop! 🌈

Today was all about exploring, feeling, and experiencing the world through our senses — and what a day it was!

From squishy textures to messy play, water, movement, and hands-on discovery… our little learners were fully immersed in the fun.

But here’s the magic ✨Sensory play isn’t just fun — it’s powerful. The children loved it. Big smiles, curious hands, and lots of joyful moments 💛

🌼 Farewell, Francina 🌼

Today we say goodbye to someone who has been woven into the very heart of The Talk Shop since day one.
For 23 years, Francina has been our steady, calming, patient presence — the person every teacher, therapist and child could count on.

She has a gift with children that can’t be taught — the kind of magic that makes little ones feel safe, understood and cared for.
And let’s be honest… no one does potty training quite like Francina. It’s legendary status at this point.

Thank you, Francina, for every gentle word, every soothing hug, every laugh, every early morning, every late afternoon, every tiny moment that made this school feel like home.
Your kindness, reliability and affection have shaped countless children’s first school experiences — and that’s a legacy that lasts.

As you step into retirement and head home to your family, we want you to know:
You will always be a part of The Talk Shop.

We are going to miss you more than words can say.

This morning felt like stepping into our own Dr Seuss world — bright colours, proud smiles, and children bursting with dreams far bigger than their little shoes.

Our Grade R stars sang beautifully and stood up confidently to tell us what they want to be one day. We heard future firefighters, builders, doctors, and pilots — and honestly, the world will be lucky to have them.

They’ve worked incredibly hard this year. They’ve grown in skills, confidence, and resilience, and they’re walking into big school with the skills and spirit they need to thrive.

To our graduates:
Keep dreaming boldly. Keep trying bravely. Keep being wonderfully you.
Your next adventure is waiting — and oh, the places you’ll go.

Our Grade R’s had a Wacky, Woolly, Webby Wednesday this week! 🕸️🐑✨
They’ve been diving into early maths skills — exploring numbers, practising subitising, and making sense of quantities in playful, hands-on ways.
A little chaos, a lot of learning… and plenty of giggles along the way!
