Bushido - Kazoku Karate Dojo's Kazoku Karate Academy (formerly Rivonia Karate Academy) is an authentic Japanese -affiliated Shotokan karate dojo. Our core value is Shojiki (integrity).

Our emphasis is the practice and preservation of authentic karate techniques, traditions, original values and ethos while continuously evolving by fostering the development o

f correct, scientific and safe modern exercise technology. We believe that a true karate-ka (practitioner of karate) is a holistic being and aims to maximize the physical, cognitive, emotional, value-system and life skills of our members. The Academy is run by Instructors Lars Niehaus, Jose Da Fonseca, Olivia Bamford. We are based at the 1st Rivertrail Scout Hall, 44 The River Road, Bryanston , northern Johannesburg, South Africa. We offer classes for adults as well as children from the age of 4 years old. It is never too late to start the wonderful art of karate! Come and join us! Classes Monday to Thursday afternoons and evenings, Friday and Saturday mornings.
