When designing a programme we don't just throw random activities together. We consider each activity and how they will help us achieve our objectives for that day.

On this day we combined Lava River Crossing with selected Team Challenges. The session was loaded with fun and the Lee Rand Primary Learners learnt about focus and communication.

Interpretative Trails... At Camp Tholo we simply refer to them as bush walks. However an interpretative trail is the art of observing and directing attention to points of interest in nature that the camper might miss for the purpose of delight, wonder, intrigue and information.

This early morning hike in the Waterberg was absolutely spectacular.

Amazing Race & Master Braai has been a successful pairing of activities. It takes us from just after breakfast till lunch.

Campers start with a race to make a cup of tea then, we make lunch, meat, salad and bread.

This was an event filled morning for the Lee Rand Primary Learners... Well done on the Braai Bread (Rosterkookies)!

Our main venue is in Brits, North West. Over the years, we have done multiple camps in various provinces. Camp Tholo does not own a fixed venue; instead, we select the best spaces to meet the unique needs of each group we serve. Whenever we get the opportunity we like to make the last night extract special. This time around we had a Boma formal Dinner followed by Camp fire.

Thank You Lee Rand Primary for the conversation, laughs and beautiful song. We had a great evening with you. Perfect ending to an amazing camp.

Final Afternoon Combo: Archery & Water Games... Normally these activities would take place much earlier in the programme this time around they came right at the end.

Water Games: This is a set of games we play using water. It's safe, high paced and challenging. Most importantly, lots and lots of fun.

Archery: This is an adventure activity, however ever when it is led by an experienced Field Educator it is transformed into a fun, high impact educational experience. Goals setting, Listening to instructions, situational awareness, safety protocols and so much more can be developed during this session.

The Lee Rand Primary learners were hitting the target running, laughing and getting wet. What an amazing after we had with them.
