Scripture: “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life.”- Psalms 23:6

2. EXPLANATION

This verse reminds us that God’s love, goodness, and mercy are always with us. Even when we make mistakes or face challenges, God continues to care for us, forgive us, and guide us.

3. EXAMPLES OF GRACE

a. Forgiving a friend after an argument.

b. Helping a classmate in need.

c. Giving someone another chance after a mistake.

d. Encouraging someone who feels sad or discouraged.

4. MESSAGE TO LEARNERS

As learners, we should show grace through kindness, patience, forgiveness, and understanding. We must also not abuse grace by continuing to do wrong things on purpose. Instead, we should learn from our mistakes, respect others, and always try to do what is right.

WORD OF THE WEEK: MOTHER ❤️

Meaning:
A woman who loves, cares for, guides, and supports her children and family.

Message:
This week, we celebrate the word mother as we honour the incredible women who play such an important role in our lives. Mothers are often our first teachers, our protectors, our encouragers, and our biggest supporters. Through their love, patience, and sacrifices, they help shape our future and inspire us to become our best selves.

As we celebrate Mother’s Day, let us show gratitude and appreciation to all mothers and mother figures for the care and kindness they give every day. A simple “thank you,” a kind gesture, or words of love can make a mother feel truly special.

Bible Verse:
“Her children rise up and call her blessed.” – Proverbs 31:28

“The Lord will guide you always…”- Isaiah 58:11

God’s guidance reminds us that we are never alone in life’s journey. As reflected in the poem “God’s Guided Steps”, He leads us, gives us wisdom, and calms our fears when we feel uncertain. In moments when we feel lost, overwhelmed, or unsure of what to do next, God gently directs our paths and gives us the peace we need to move forward.

This teaches us that growth in life happens step by step with God’s help. We do not need to have everything figured out, we simply need to trust Him and keep going. When we rely on His guidance, we find strength in difficult times, learn through our experiences, and continue to grow into who we are meant to be.

With God leading us, we can walk forward with confidence, courage, and peace.

WORD OF THE WEEK: GUIDANCE

As we begin this new week, we are encouraged to embrace and practise the value of guidance in all areas of our lives. Guidance reminds us that we are not meant to walk through life alone. We are supported by wisdom greater than ourselves, and we are called to look up to God for direction, strength, and understanding in everything we do. When we trust in Him, we are able to find peace even in uncertain moments and confidence to keep moving forward.

Guidance also comes through the people God places in our lives. When we do not understand things or feel uncertain, we are blessed with parents, teachers, and mentors who help us find clarity and make better choices. They guide us with love, correction, and encouragement, helping us grow in knowledge and character. Learning to listen, accept guidance, and remain teachable is part of growing into wisdom and becoming better each day.

Happy Sunday! 🌞

Today is a reminder that joy is not just found in what is happening around us, but in what is happening within us. Just like the song “I got joy” says, we can carry a deep, unshakable joy even in the middle of challenges. May your heart be light, your mind be at peace, and your spirit lifted by gratitude and hope today.

Step into this week knowing that joy is already yours, walk in it, share it, and let it shine through everything you do. 🙏

Philippians 3:12 reminds us that growth is a journey, not a destination.

Paul says he has not yet reached perfection or fully achieved his goal, but he keeps pressing forward to what God has called him to do.

This teaches us that it is okay not to have everything figured out in life. We all have areas where we are still growing, learning, and improving. What matters is not where we are right now, but that we keep moving forward with purpose.

Instead of giving up because of mistakes or setbacks, we are encouraged to “press on”, to keep trying, keep believing, and keep improving.

Life is not about being perfect; it is about progressing.

HONOURING OUR FREEDOM, SHAPING OUR FUTURE 🇿🇦

Freedom Day, celebrated on the 27th of April, marks a historic moment in South Africa when the country held its first democratic elections in 1994. On this day, all South Africans, regardless of race, were given the right to vote, bringing an end to apartheid and paving the way for equality, dignity, and human rights. It is a powerful reminder of the sacrifices made by many who fought for justice, freedom, and a better future for all.

This day encourages us to reflect on how far the nation has come while also reminding us of our responsibility to continue building a united, peaceful, and inclusive society. For communities like CP Christian School, it is an opportunity to inspire young minds to value freedom, respect others, and contribute positively to the future of the country.

WORD OF THE WEEK: DETERMINATION 💪

As we begin this new week, we are encouraged to embrace and practise the value of determination in all that we do. Determination means having a strong purpose and not giving up, even when things are difficult. It is about staying focused, working hard, and continuing to move forward despite challenges.

Determination is seen in our attitude, our effort, and the way we respond when we face setbacks. It reminds us that success does not come easily, but through patience, perseverance, and consistency.

When determination is present, it helps us to grow, improve, and achieve our goals. It builds confidence within us and encourages us to keep trying, even when we make mistakes.

May this week be one where we choose determination daily in our classrooms, on the playground, and at home. Let us remember the words of Scripture: “I press on toward the goal…” – Philippians 3:14 (Bible).

As we go through the week, may determination guide our thoughts, words, and actions, making this a week that is productive, focused, and full of growth. 💪
