When children have learnt to read, every household should have at least half an hour's reading time in the evening when everybody in the home, including the adults, read for pleasure. The example set by adults is very important. Show your children how much you love to read!

The social crime prevention unit had an informative presentation prepared for our learners on crime awareness and prevention. Various matters were addressed including, but not limited to, bullying, substance abuse, theft and road safety.
Please continue to emphasise these matters at home. Pay particular attention to this week's newsletter where we outline, once again, the safety measures that are expected from all learners, parents and transporters / taxi drivers.
Safety is addressed from multiple angles at our school. We ask that every stakeholder be responsible and play their part.
