INTERSCHOOLS 2026

Interschools week officially kicks off on Monday, 16th August, bringing an entire week of gees, war cries, and historic rivalry. But we all know what everything builds up to... the massive FNB Classic Clashes U19A Rugby match on Saturday, 22 August 2026!

Before we pack the stands and lose our voices, let's take a look back at the epic hits, the blistering runs, and the unforgettable moments of Interschools 2025. Last year gave us an absolute spectacle, but who is going to take the crown and the bragging rights this time around?

Will the Brakkies stand tall, or will the Tigers roar to victory?

KULTUUR | ALLEGRETTO EISTEDDFOD

Wat 'n ongelooflike voorreg is dit nie om aangewys te word as die Top Kultuur Hoërskool van die Wes-Kaap vir die Allegretto Eisteddfod nie?!

We are extremely proud of this achievement. We have been rewarded as one of the Top 5 schools for culture nationwide by the Allegretto Eisteddfod Executive Committee.

Baie geluk aan elkeen wat 'n bydrae gelewer het tot hierdie ongelooflike prestasie en toekenning.

THROWBACK THURSDAY | 50TH CELEBRATIONS

With the count down to Interschools starting Monday, our Throwback Thursday is a "photo dump" of 2016. The 40th year celebrations and Interschools.

Een ding is verseker: Die Brakkies het nog al die jare gees gehad. In die foto's hier onder kan 'n mens sien hoe lekker die gees was onder personeel en leerders. Selfs mnr. Pretorius was altyd 'n bok vir sports. Dalk die Pret-deel in sy van?

2016 was n groot jaar. So saam met die 40ste vieringe, was dit ook die jaar wat mnr. Pretorius afgetree het.

Die opwinding is tasbaar vir Interskole 2026! Dit sal die 16de jaar wees wat ons Interskole teen Tygerberg het. Voor 2010 was ons Interskole teen De Kuilen.

We are absolutely BURSTING with excitement to announce that WE HAVE MADE THE FINALS OF Radio Tygerberg 104FM VREESLOOS COMPETITION!!!

We cannot even begin to describe how incredibly thrilled, humbled, and completely hyped we are right now!

A massive, heartfelt THANK YOU to every single one of you who has cheered us on, believed in us, and supported us along the way. We literally could not have done this without YOU!

The journey isn't over yet, and we are going to give this final absolutely everything we've got!

Dust off those boots, grab your sticks, and get ready for the ultimate reunion! The Brackenfell Old Boys & Old Girls Sports Day is here, and it is going to be massive.

Whether you're hitting the turf, taking the court, or just coming for a cold brew and the boerie rolls, here is where all the action is going down:

KULTUUR | A CAPELLA
A Capella: Treblerush

Brackenfell High School is extremely proud of Treblerush, Brackenfell High School's own Pitch Perfect singing group.

These phenomenal singers performed at the Allegretto National Eisteddfod last Saturday and is currently in the Top 3, out of 55 groups that entered in the same category, nationwide.

Hierdie talentvolle sangers word deur Mnr. H. Loock jnr. en Me. D du Preez afgerig.
