STAFF BIRTHDAY 🥳🥳

Drie van Bastion se leerders het besonders goed gevaar by die Paarl Vallei Eisteddfod deur kategoriewenners by die tekenafdeling van die kunswedstryd te wees. Hulle het die afgelope naweek hul toekennings by die Prestige Gala Aand van die Eisteddfod ontvang. Baie geluk aan Lilia van Wyk (Graad 4), Lian Herbst (Graad 5) en Storm-Mari Kitching (Graad 7) wat hierdie besonderse prestasie behaal het!

Three of Bastion’s learners achieved an exceptional feat by being category winners at the Paarl Valley Eisteddfod’s drawing competition. They received their awards at the eisteddfod’s Prestige Gala Evening this past weekend. Congratulations to Lilia van Wyk (grade 4), Lian Herbst (grade 5) and Storm-Mari Kitching (grade 7) on this amazing achievement!

Colour run 2025 - better than ever before!

This year we introduce an inflatable course, complete with water and foam. Any child’s dream!

Tickets are available on the Karri App at R150 per learner. This includes powder paint. The paint is safe to use and also gluten and wheat free. Extra paint packets will be available to buy at the rugby clubhouse - R6,00 per packet.

The deadline to buy tickets and food parcels is 22 October 2025, at 22:00.

There will also be food stalls as well as the PTA tuck shop (not the standard tuck shop), so send a little extra money.

Time is running out, so buy your child’s ticket and come and support them for the day!

Hierdie jaar het ons 'n opblaasbaan, wat water en skuim insluit. Enige kind se droom!

Kaartjies is beskikbaar op die Karri-App teen R150 per leerder. Dit sluit poeierverf in. Die verf is veilig vir die kinders en is ook vry van enige gluten of koring. Ekstra verfpakkies is te koop by die rugbyklubhuis teen R6,00 per pakkie.

Die sperdatum vir die kaartjies en kospakkies is 22 Oktober 2025 teen 22:00.

Daar sal ook kosstalletjies wees, sowel as die OOV se snoepie (nie die standaard snoepie nie), so stuur 'n ekstra geldjie saam.

Tyd raak nou min, so koop jou kind se kaartjie en kom ondersteun hulle sommer vir die dag!

STAFF BIRTHDAY 🥳🥳

Five of our talented speakers travelled to Gauteng this morning to take part in the national finals of the On The Tip Of Your Tongue and Radikale Redenaars competitions this weekend.

We are incredibly proud of each of you for your hard work, dedication and the confidence with which you represent our school. We wish you all the best for the competitions!

We also thank Zutek for sponsoring jackets and shirts for these learners to help them look smart while on tour.



Vyf van ons talentvolle sprekers het vanoggend Gauteng toe gevlieg om deel te neem aan die nasionale finale van die Oppie Tong Af en Radikale Redenaars redenaarskompetisies hierdie naweek.

Ons is ongelooflik trots op almal van julle vir jul harde werk, toewyding en selfvertroue waarmee julle ons skool verteenwoordig. Ons wens julle alle sterkte toe vir hierdie kompetisies!

Ons bedank ook graag vir Zutek wat baadjies en hemde vir die leerders geborg het sodat hulle heeltyd netjies lyk op toer.
